Our next shoebox swap will be on Saturday, August 23, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., at Faith Fellowship Church, 4375 Ebenezer Road, Perry Hall, MD. I have the church for an extra hour this time to help us get all the swaps done.
There is room for 31 people to attend with each person bringing a shoebox swap for 30 people to make and something to share for lunch. There is a $10 non-refundable charge per person to cover the hall rental and other expenses. Please fill out the attached form and mail in your $10 to reserve your space. No children under 18 years of age please.
All cards are to be full cards. Please bring enough supplies for everyone to make your card including all cardstock, stamps, inks, embellishments, tools, etc. Please also bring your own adhesive and scissors to use on all the projects we make. Please make sure all of your supplies (stamps, ink pads, scissors, punches, etc.) are labeled with either your name or initials, so we all go home with the stuff we brought. We'd like each person to have a sample and typed instructions in their box telling how to make your card. Wed like everyone to have their swaps in baggies or envelopes containing everything each person needs to do your card. This really helps make the swap go more smoothly.
All cards or projects must be made using Stampin' Up stamps, cardstock, inks, etc. Stamps and colors can either be current or retired.
Please bring something to share for lunch. We'd like to get more substantial lunch items and not all dip items. Some dip items are fine, but it seemed like last time that is what the majority was. When you sign up for the swap, please post what youll bring for lunch. We do not have use of an oven, so please do not bring anything to be baked or that needs to be heated up. Crock pots are welcome. There is a refrigerator we can use.
There will be several door prizes throughout the day. And we will also be doing the card ministry drawings again (2 or 3 prizes), so bring your cards to donate. These can be old swap cards, card fronts, or even one of the cards you are doing for the swap. We collected a huge assortment of cards in March which was awesome. That really kept our card rack full.
To sum up what youll need to bring shoebox swap (no theme), something to share for lunch, and cards for the card ministry if you'd like to donate any.
So start posting your RSVPs and what youll share for lunch. Any questions, post them here or PM me. Im hoping for a great turn out.
Once I receive your form and payment, I will mark you paid on the list of attendees.

Welcome Jane..don't make the card too hard or tricky to do. It should only take about 15 mins to make the card. Once you type up your instructions, read them back to yourself and try to make the card from your instructions. That helps alot. Don't get overwhelmed once you get there. Have fun.

Jan I'm pretty sure we are close enough in area to get together prior to swap. I'll plan another stamping day, so you can even work out your swap if you want. Do you work during the week or are weekends better for you?
Count me in also! I just moved to the area and would love to get to know some new stampers. I am in Dunkirk. I've never done a shoe box swap. (Questions to come later!) If there is anyone close to me I would love to carpool, too.
And I will bring deviled eggs and probably something else.
I'll be there. Thanks to Marcia for leaving me a message at work to let me know about your post - would hate to have missed it!! I'll read through the thread at home tonight and let you know what I'll bring for lunch. Cathy
