Hi! I just found out that we are moving to Bellevue in July! (Not to hijack the thread - I'd be at your get-together if I could!) I was just wondering about the LSS's. What's your favorite and do they have websites? I'm just so excited to be moving to a place that has any kind of selection when it comes to stamping/crafting supplies. Feel free to PM me! Have a great time at your get-together!

REPOST as I did have someone for Nebraska, but they backed out today, so I need an angel for Nebraska. PLEASE click the link in my signature and check it out. they are already coming in and they are awesome!
Just wanted to let you all know that I scheduled a workshop for the 10th, so I won't be able to make it this time. I will continue to sub to the thread in hopes that we can meet again in during the summer.
Wow, what a day!! So how many used today's storms to just stay home and stamp/scrap? That was my plan when I closed the office this AM, but I didn't get a darn thing done on the crafty front. :(
I have to tell you... after looking at some of your galleries, I'm a little nervous about bringing MY shoebox ideas. Y'all have incredible stuff! I'm excited to learn from your ideas.
I just want to get out of the house and away from my kids! Can't wait till Saturday, oh, that means I need to figure out a shoebox too, hmmmmmm. Looking forward to it!

I *just* found this thread - I would have loved to come but my husband is out of town until Sunday and it's too late to unload my kids. Darn! If you guys ever plan another get-together, let me know - I'd love to meet SCSers! I'm in west Omaha too.

FYI: there is an Archiver's, Michael's and Hobby Lobby in Omaha. There is a nice stamp store in Lincoln called Ben Franklin, Too - it has a pretty large stamp selection. I think there's another store in Lincoln too - but the local stamp/scrap stores in Omaha have closed down - don't know if the big chains put them out of business or what. Anyway - welcome to Omaha, Lisa!
There is still the store in Millard. We go to Friday night scraps there. Also there is one in Council Bluffs right by Sam's club. I can just about throw rocks at it from my house.
Got a couple of PMs on what people need to bring...
1) stuff to work on whatever you want to work on for yourself
2) a shoebox swap for 10
3) snack to share
4) Beverage of choice - coffee provided
5) Soup will be on the menu for lunch. If you want to bring something else to have with it, that would be fine but it is NOT necessary.
That's it! PM me if you need the directions. I can't wait to meet all of you!

I've heard about the place in Council Bluffs - is it scrapbooking and stamps or just scrapbooking? The one in Millard is only scrapbooking - it was sold and started back up by another owner but still no stamps. :( I'm surprised she can stay in business with Hobby Lobby just down the street - but she does have some stuff HL doesn't have.
Have fun guys!! You should post pics of your shoebox swap cards to this thread so we can see what we missed!
Just scrapbooking really. She used to have a TON of stamps before they moved but now they are in a smaller location. I honestly have no idea how they stay in business. My chiro is in the same strip mall and she (the scrapbook store) RARELY has any business.

I was not impressed with the one in CB. Scrapbook Central is a great store and so is Yesterday's Scrapbooking ove on 130th & Maple ( my favorite place!) But she also is jsut scrapbooking stuff, no stamps.

.... count me in if there's a get together again sometime. We already have plans for this weekend (and they don't involve a foot of snow!!!). I'll wait to hear how it goes. Have fun!
