Greetings ladies..For those of you not in the UP..it is a snowy Saturday..ARGh...but July is out there somewhere and we will have sunny days soon-or parts of days..I'll take that. Keep warm and stay stamping
We have one for sure. You're next. I am waiting until April 1st to let people know. At the rate registrations are coming in, we will probably have 10 or 12 openings.

Just received the registration form and will be mailing off soon...yes, I can get a copy to Phyllis. Do you have an approximate package price for the weekend? I realize that it will be dependent on the hotel chosen. Thanks...look forward to the weekend...Jerri

Hi Jerri,
I've been told I have to wait until the end of April for room rates. I am going to post names and numbers of motels in the area in the next week or 2.

Hi Joan, Yes, I did get the check. I'm pretty sure I switched the color of your names, but will double check. Hope you are enjoying better spring weather than we are.

Hi, everyone! I am so excited to tell you that this 'troll' is making the long drive from just south of Lansing from the little town of Eaton Rapids all the way to Baraga to have some fun meeting you and stamping and chatting with all of you this summer!
Is there information posted somewhere else with the details about the number/type of swaps that need to be made or anything else I need to know?
Woo-hoo! I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it. Na, na, na, na....
There is some info on the registration form, Char. Will have final details by the end of April. I'm finishing up registrations this week and then will be out of town until the
20th. Shortly after that we should have supplies and numbers for swaps posted.

Oh, I'm so excited that you're able to come Charlene! We had a great time last year, and will surely do so once again!

I have not begun anything yet Maggi! I have to put the thinking cap on to get going...once we get the numbers and details at the end of the month, I can get much more serious!
Just a Happy Easter wish to all of you. I know the recent sunshine in the UP makes me believe we will have warmer days.. I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend !! Helen ( I have been told not to wish my life away..but is it July YET????) ;-)
My husband and I are returning home after visiting my daughter and her family in Grand Rapids, his brother in Florida, and are currently visiting our son in Chicago. My husband has patiently put the car seat into "recline" while I visited stamp stores in Clare, Grand Rapids, Lake Worth, Florida, TWO in Chicago, and will be hitting one more in Green Bay tomorrow. Granted there WAS some eye-rolling and the occasional martyred sigh, but... Anyway, I think it's reasonable to count this as "research" for my swaps, right? I sure am enjoying this!
Sue...you are one lucky lady! Find any new "goodies" to tell us about?
Well...to the rest of you....spring has sprung here in the U.P.....sorta....we had two days of 60+ weather and now we're looking at the 40's again....but we did melt alot of the snow...so there is hope!
Only 3 1/2 more months to go! See you there! Maggi
Here I was, watching my crocus bloom, seeing my daffys coming up, and watching the snow melt away. Woke up this morning to 2+" of snow - and its still coming down!!! Did I miss summer????

My apologies fellow Yoopers..I put out the deck chairs and put my boots downstairs..so so sorry..Will dig out my mitts and gloves to try to stop this mess. Stay warm and dream of July...Helen

Lotsa snow here too! That heavy, sloppy, greasy stuff that ALMOST  pulls you into the ditch!!! Made it to school okay, thank the Lord, and am not looking forward to driving home!
Brrrrr! Just reading about it makes me shiver! I had to laugh...my girlfriend was asking what in the world?! It's April in Florida and still *only* in the 50's/70's, what's up with that?!
Still not sure what the dates are for our trip to the in-laws, but I'm hoping that whether it is the weekend of your retreat or not, that I still might get to see some of you! As usual, there is a collision of several things that our family wants to do, including Superior Stampers, CHA, and Vacation Bible School, right around that weekend. We're also working around Youth Week, which Matthew desperately does NOT want to miss this year! I wish summer were longer!
Well, we had a snow day today-- all the snow that had melted has returned! I feel so sorry for the poor birds-- the robins look just miserable! We're supposed to get at least 50 degrees by the end of the week tho'!
We're in the 50's now, but our yard is still covered with snow - too wet and heavy to even plow. My sister is on her way up from Illinois for a couple of days. When I told her she should bring her boots she didn't believe me!

I plan to have a letter in the mail to everyone by the end of the week. Info about the swap, shoebox, used stamp sale, and other tidbits. A beautiful Sunday here. I have a stamp and scrap party to do this afternoon. We are making two cards and two scrapbook pages. Almost wish I could cancel and go play in the dirt. LOL

JoAnn, I was able to play in the dirt yesterday and it felt so good. Our weather has just not been nice of enough for me to do much outside. I also potted about 35 pots of perennials to sell out front on my wagon. (I am going to post a picture of it on my blog later today). I still have several things I need to divide and get potted. It is only 52 now, but promises to be almost 65 later.
We live out in open country and our winds are awful this time of year. So far this morning though, it is calm. I sure hope it remains that way all day.
Hi - Just want to wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day. After the snow showers yesterday, I am so looking forward to some warm weather. I just saw my first Hummingbird - so spring is REALLY here!!!!

No letter yet ladies. The numbers are still too if-y. Our best guess right now is 32 for the regular swap and 16 for the shoebox. More deets and the real letter to follow shortly.

JoAnn...really surprised at the number of people who are going to participate in the shoebox swap! That is so much fun! And the ideas that are shared and things you can learn are incredible! I am wondering if all those who are signed up are aware of what it is all about??? I haven't read each and every attachment to this thread but I would think it is explained in here somewhere???? Please, fellow stampers....rethink this and be a part of it! You will not be sorry! If you aren't sure...ask...we will explain it and our enthusiam will infect you!
Just my 2 cents worth! Thanks for keeping us informed! So looking forward to this event!

Hi Maggi,
There are actually closer to 40 so we are dividing into 2 groups. It would be impossible to do them all in the time period we have.

Hi ya'll! I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial weekend. I was just checking in to see if there are any further details on the swaps. We're getting closer!! Before we know it, July will be here.
For those of you who live in the area, what kind of sights to see or things to do are in the vicinity? My hubby is coming with me, so he'll need something to do while I'm busy playing in the sandbox with all of you! :-)

Hi Char,
We have a golf course and we are right on the bay for excellent fishing. What types of things interest him? That might help me list a few things. Sorry it took so long to answer this...I was at camp all week with our 6th graders.
