We (Andrea & Lisa) are hosting another shoebox swap on Saturday, August 27, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., at: (please read the entire description)
The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd
1515 Emmorton Road
Bel Air, MD 21014
THEME:
There is no theme this time and we do require that all products must be made using Stampin' Up stamps, cardstock, inks, etc. Stamps and colors can either be current or retired.
SWAP:
There is room for 31 people (over 18 years of age please) to attend with each person bringing a shoebox swap for 30 people to make and something to share for lunch. There is a $12 non-refundable charge per person for hall rental, expenses, and pizza which will be collected before the day of the swap. All monies need to be in by Friday, August 19, 2011. If money is not received by this time, the waiting list will be opened up. Everyone who signs up must have a SCS ID to make this fair for everyone attending. If we happen to get more people to sign up then 30, we may have two groups, will keep you informed.
All cards are to be full cards. Please bring enough supplies for everyone to make your card including all cardstock, stamps, inks, embellishments, tools, etc., along with your own adhesive and scissors to use on all the projects we make. Please make sure all of your supplies are labeled with either your name or initials, so we all go home with the stuff we brought. We'd like each person to have a sample and typed instructions in their box telling how to make your card, and also have their swaps in baggies or envelopes containing everything each person needs to do your card. This really helps make the swap go more smoothly.
LUNCH:
We will be ordering Pizza for lunch and it would be appreciated if you could sign up to bring beverages, plates, napkins, desserts, salad and breakfast items. We do not have access to a kitchen.
There will be several door prizes throughout the day. And we are asking for card donations which will be used for our local hospital. These can be old swap cards, card fronts, or even one of the cards you are doing for the swap.
To sum up what youll need to bring for the shoebox swap: something to share for lunch/breakfast, and cards for the local hospital if you'd like to donate any. I am attaching a registration form that should be sent to me along with the $12 non-refundable charge.
sign me up thank you Lisa ljg8386

Reason: change message
...... We're looking forward to meeting you and bringing you into our cult (that's what my husband calls our swaps - a cult meeting !)
Funny, my kids call my weekend scrapbooking retreats "crap houses" or "crap camps" but I still go no matter what they call them. So now I'm going to a cult meeting LOL!
Carolyn forwarded this announcement to me - and I'm up for a new challenge. I've been stamping for about 6 years now, and my monthly Stampin' Up club recently added a swap to our gatherings. This is a whole new scale of planning and prep for me and I want to try! I hope there's still room for a rookie ;-)
I am so excited..... I want to welcome Allison and Anna....
Marcia, Marcia.... so glad you could attend the swap
Patti so glad that you could make it as well
Bev.... I remember the beans you brought one time.... yummmmmm
Martina a big Welcome, you will have so much fun during the swap.....
Jess... you are on the wait list.... welcome you.
Remember ladies.... it is all about stamping, chocolate and meeting new friends and yes.... seeing the old friends too.....
Wow.....what a change 24 hours brings! I'm glad to see our "old" stampin' buddies signed up, and looking forward to meeting our new ones. This is shaping up to be another awesome swap!
And, I just have to brag....my card is done - designed, cut up, packaged and in the box. Yay, me! If I'm honest, though, it's because we had one extra person at the last swap so we didn't use my card. Nonetheless, mine is done and ready, no matter how it happened.
Good Golly Andrea, I can't believe you still remember the beans....It seems like it was forever ago. If you want the beans, I'll bring the beans. I'll also have the receipe printed for anyone that would like a copy.
love
bev

Hey Linda
Don't get too jealous of that girl, Lisa, she just had to blow the dust off those card guts and put them in a box for the swap. I am sure she will be doing other things for the swap that will take the same amount of time.
Andrea
I would some much love to be put on the waiting list! I also putting my 2nd payment in the mail Friday for my ocean city weekend shoe box swap. I can't wait. Thank you, Gale
Hello ladies,
I would love so much to come to the August 27th shoebox swap! I could send you the money right away or bring it to you. Please put me on the waiting list? I also will mail my second payment for the Ocean City weekend swap .
Thanks,
Gale
Just me Gale Hansen
I been looking at the list for August swap in Belair, I don't see my name on the waiting list. Could you please add my name.
Thanks so much,
Gale
I am currently unmounting my wood stamps and putting them in cd cases. I have a couple of bags of gummy wood blocks now, and several empty SU clear stamp cases. They have stickers or writing on them.
I am going to bring them with me to the swap. If anyone has any empty cd cases, the standard jewel size cases that your music cd's come in, I would appreciate them greatly. I will be selling the blocks and cases. Putting a box for "donations", because I won't have change, and no one will have to bother anyone during the swap. Just throw in what you feel they are worth and take what you want.
Thank you Andrea and Lisa for letting me do this!!!
Can't wait for the swap!
Linda
