Hmmm.... I see sixteen names NOT marked paid. My name is fifth one down the waiting list. Maybe I should call my Sis in Louisiana. Hmmm.... Don't want to get her hopes up if I'm not really going down ...decisions ...decisions!!
I think I got your registration, but it's got $.17 postage due on it, which means I've got to go to the Post Office to pick it up. I don't think I can do that until Saturday. My PO closes at 5 and I don't get out of work until 5.

Just popping in to see if I've moved up on the list. It looks like I am still 7 ladies away. LOL
I still have hope though...I'll check back in a few days

I didn't know there were so many of you all in Houston. I would love to be a part of this. I hate I am so late seeing it. I hope you all have fun. Is there any other type of list, or group for Houston stampers?

So sorry! I would have loved to have met you all--hopefully next year or at Arlington!
The next person on the list can have my spot and consider her registration paid by a friend.
Have fun everyone! Post lotsa pictures!
Cammie, sorry that you're not going to be able to join us. I'll let divasister know that she's on the list and PAID. Hope that you'll be able to make it next time.

Any ideas, Maggie? How far off is Woodlands? That's always been my rest stop heading south.
Susan said she wants a hotel with a refrigerator drawer.
I really don't know anything about hotels or The Woodlands. I did a MapQuest using the address of the church where we're having the swap and The Woodlands. Says it's about 32 minutes away.

Just thought I'd pass this along to you guys. You may or may not have noticed that Christine (LovinTX)'s name has been removed from the list of attendees! :( Can you believe that she'd rather go on an all expense trip paid to CABO with her DH than come stamp with us! Go figure! It's true though, she's won the trip and it turned out to be the same weekend. She's still being a big help to me though, but I did need actual hand's on help and I'm very happy to say that Laura (lssmith) and Edwina (rubberkiwi) have both offered their services to help out with all that has to be done. THANKS YOU GUYS! I'll be in touch.

I thought I had posted about the directions to the church and the hotels, but I guess I didn't. Here's what we had from last time. Also the directions to the church.

Maggie,
Finally decided that the preparation time is too short for me. You may take my name off the waiting list and move the others up a notch. Please put my name on an FYI list for next year and let me know early.
Maggie, I'm sorry to back-out so late in the game. Have had no luck finding a replacement for Saturday and today they let the gal go that I had trained for our site. I know I'm going to miss out on a really fun time.

Unfortunately I have to drop out as well. :( I was supposed to drive in with someone on the wait list and it didn't seem like it was going to work out. I'm sorry I am going to miss out on the opportunity to meet you all!

Hi Houston Stampers - I've updated the major list today and EVERYONE that was on the waiting list has been MOVED UP! I will PM/e-mail each of those that were on the wait list to get their registrations in.
Sadly, there were a few that had asked to be on the list and then I never heard from them even after sending numerous PM's and e-mails out to them, so they've been removed from the list. The cutoff date was Jan. 15, but I stretched it out for them.
Right now I still have 1 spot open so if anyone knows anyone who still wants to come have them get in touch with me so I can place their name on the list. It's really getting close now! I'm so excited to meet and see everyone again.

I want to make sure you have Debbie Penalber I don't see her name on the list (I'm not sure what her SCS name is), but I know that she paid and has been working with me on her swap. When we last wrote, you said you had her marked paid.

Loretta (stampersahoy)
I don't remember her SCS name either Loretta, but I'm pretty sure all your people are on the list and paid. I'd have to look at her registration for her name, and they are at home.

I've only been to one other Shoebox Swap and loved the door prizes. There were tins and other containers already made up, and then there were some baskets filled with items that the receiver could use to make things for themselves. All of them looked great to me.
My question is kind of general, which do you ladies think is better or more fun: getting stuff that is already made, or a basket of things you can use and make stuff.
I sort of have both options going and before I get started on putting it all together I thought I'd ask.
That's a hard one Carole. I've gotten some awesome things as door prizes, but I'm a collector, so I'd love a bunch of stuff to play with too. Not much help am I. ;)

I just sent you a PM--If that one spot is still open, I would love to fill it. Thanks!
