I just wanted to post on here one more time and say THANK YOU to all of you who came to the 1st Houston Shoebox Swap! Ya'll were totally awesome and so much fun to stamp with and your swaps - WONDERFUL! I really enjoyed the day from start to finish. You need to pat yourselves on the back for making it such a total success! It was a group effort.
Thank you also for all the beautiful Thank You cards that you gave to me and the gifts inside. I'm so overwhelmed with it all. SCS Ladies are really the BEST! I do hope that we get to do this again here sometime, but that I'll also be able to stamp with you in other places.
Again, also, thanks to rshores and sassybee for all the help they gave us too. Their experience in Austin sure did help us a lot and helped to make our event go so smoothly.
My thanks to Christine for getting us the place to play today and for all the work she did in getting the info on the hotels and the Friday Night Dinner, the food. It was great!
See ya'll at the next Swap!

Thank you to everyone at the Houston SCS gathering!
Wow! What a fantastic day! Thank you to everyone who came and joined in! It was so much fun! The day went great and all the cards were wonderful!
Thank you for all the thank you cards, gifts and kind words! That was so nice and thoughtful and really meant a lot to me. Y'all are great!
Special thanks to everyone who pitched to help. It sure made things much easier! Also, special thanks to my church, Cy-Fair Christian Church who allowed us to use facility. They don't charge a fee so all of the extra funds are being donated to the youth group there. They will really appreciate it.
I want to also say a BIG thank you to Maggie. She was awesome to work with during the entire planning of this event. We make a great team!!
And, I also want to thank my little sis, Kimmy. She is the person who got me started stamping 2-1/2 years ago! Thank you for driving to Houston to play with all of us and yes, I forgive you for losing my earring!
The Houston SCS Gathering photo gallery has been set up. Look for it in the Special Collections section of the gallery. And see all my photos by clicking on this link.
What a fun day! I'm really bad with names and faces but I did my best to zoom in on name tags and try to figure out who everyone was. If there is a question mark where your name should be, let me know which picture it is and your SCS name so I can fix the captions.
Thanks Maggie and Christine for a great time. This event was so calm, relaxing, and stress free. I really needed it. Everyone was so nice and I enjoyed talking their ears off!
Jill, MaryAlice and I had a great time and made it back to the Austin area safe and sound. Thank you so much to everyone for a fantastic gathering and I'm still oohing and ahhing over the beautiful cards. It was well organized, the people were all so friendly, and the cards were fantastic!!

Glad to know that you guys made it home safely.

Thanks again Maggie and Christine! The card swap was wonderful! I enjoyed meeting everyone and sharing some great ideas! Hope to be able to stamp with all of you again someday. You are a great bunch of ladies, each and every one of you.

That never turned up? :-( What about the Halloween stamp?
I had sooooo much fun!! Everybody here just loves my cards! Me too!!! Thank you, again, ladies for hostessing & organizing this for us!!!
One more thing -- Who did the envelope packet with the 5 cards in it? There was no name on it anywhere. They are all so pretty.
If you mean the packet with the blue organdy ribbon around it? That would be Meredith Clarke (memley).
Thanks so much for putting this together! Jody, Meredith, Angie, Candi and I had such a wonderful time, LOVED the cards and the whole day of working and meeting all you ladies!

Nope, sorry Leslie it didn't show up. You need to post here and describe it so the stampers can check their bags and see if it got stuck with their stuff.
Swap Ladies - At the end of the day yesterday after some of you had gone home, it was discovered that a Halloween word stamp was missing. I'm sure that someone just gathered it up with some other things not knowing that it belonged in a different box. Please check your bags and the things you brought home and make sure it didn't accidently get put with your stuff. It has the name Manzano (sp?) on the side of the stamp. It belongs to a friend of Leslie's (specialkx3). Thanks for checking.

No, it wasn't mine...I was just wondering if it had shown up. Kimmy had borrowed it from Christine & was stressed about losing it.

Again, not mine. I hadn't seen it mentioned & wondered if it had shown up, too. :-)

Just add these comments to the raving reports of the success of the Houston gathering. It just flowed so well, it was relaxed and all the cards were terrific! Thanks Maggie and Christine. We enjoyed it sooo much.

It's Kim Schmidt's! When we got home last night we were admiring our cards and she noticed that she didn't have yours. She was so disappointed. I told her I thought you'd make her another one and send it but I guess you found it. If it's not too much of a problem I'm sure she'd love it if you mailed it to her. Thanks!
Christine
I had such a GREAT time not only stamping but meeting all you wonderful Ladies.Thank you for organizing such a great event.I can not stop thumbing thru my new beautiful cards. I love them all and can not pick my favorite.
I look froward to meeting up with those of you from Houston again once a month to swap.
I hope to see everyone from the other cities again as well. Hopefully next one in Austin or San Antonio , we can meet up again.
You all are a very fun group of Ladies and I learned a lot of new things I did not know.
Happy Stampin,
Annemarie

I was going through my shoebox from the Houston gathering and found a pair of small scissors in it that aren't mine. Sorry, I didn't clean up my own workstation or check my box carefully before leaving. Please email me at [email protected] if they are yours so that I can send them to you.
Maggie, Christine and wonderful attendees -
Thanks so much for a fantastic gathering.
Maggie and Christine - this was my first gathering, and what a fabulous experience. Thanks for all the work and time you both put in - especially all those little things you thought went unnoticed.
Ladies- Thank you for a fun time, beautiful cards, and new friendships. I had such a great day. It was so nice to put faces with names. The fellowship was much more than I expected.
Allee's- My dear Aunt Lynn - first, thank you for introducing me to the wonderful world of stamping. Next, thank you for including me into your stamp club, SCS and the Houston Gathering (and for driving us). Lastly, but most importantly, thanks for being my aunt.
Lazylizard and Gmabump- thank you for accepting me into your stamp club, and all the wonderful stories and laughs you provide.
