The shoebox does not have to be Stampin' Up, it does not have to be a card - but it does have to be a project that everyone can complete within 10 - 12 minutes. This element of the event is not meant to be overwhelming. For us SU demonstrators, we hold camps and it is not unusual for us to prepare 150 projects in a month for all of our guests. PLEASE ask for help if you need guidance on this as this is meant to be part of the fun!
ALSO - the handmade gift swap: think of this with the idea of when you participate in a Secret Santa exchange. We added "handmade" to the element so that it would be something special - it doesn't state that YOU personally have to make it, but may be something that you picked up at a craft fair. We wanted to clarify it so that it would be something special. This may also be something that may not bless you, but may be something that you can pass along to someone else that will love it. It is all about the fun of participating.
Looking forward to this event and meeting everyone in person!! Please note that we are in the countdown to closing the registration and payment part of the event so that everyone can have final numbers and not have the stress of last minute prep of shoeboxes and swap!
All registrations I have received have been logged as paid and added to the swaps and gift exchange. As always, please make sure I have you correctly in all of the swaps and gift exchange!! Thanks.

I just could not decide what projects to do...I love them all but realistically with 2 toddlers, what can I accomplish?

Pending the deadline for registration, is it safe to say that the number of items to be made for the SWAPS is based on the number of participants? Is the same true for the GIFT EXCHANGE??? Are there any "extras" to be made for hostesses, etc?
It clearly states the SHOEBOX PROJECT will be for the number of people at your table (approx eight), and the extras for this is 5 correct ??? I am assuming you will have a final count after Aug 31???
Speaking of tables, will the seats be assigned? I know many friends that are going and we would like to sit together, what is your policy on that???

Melinda...... it's not necessary to provide envelopes, although some people do. My rule is... if the card is a standard size, then envelopes are not necessary. But if your card is square or a size that most people would not have an envelope to match, then please provide it. Sometimes I find a pretty envelope that matches and I provide it. Does that help or muddy up your situation??

Swap numbers should be pretty much what the posts say. I have received a couple more registrations that I will be posting today. The SU swap has the most participants and I would like to keep it a big swap if there are no objections. I will specifically address that when registration closes. You are correct regarding shoe box counts. My plan was to seat randomly for the shoebox project only, but it's not a problem at all if a certain group wants to sit together. My friends and I like to sit at different tables and do different projects that we can share with one another, but it's not a problem if you'd all like to sit together, just let me know.

It is not necessary to include an envelope unless you choose to. The only time I've ever received an envelope with a shoebox is when it was and odd size.

I don't know how I missed this before! My party went great - thanks for asking!! This is a very cool product and there just may be a glimpse (hopefully a project) of it at our gathering - I'm talking to the consultant tonight about my idea - stay tuned!!

Oops, missed a few things!!
Extra swaps are not necessary for hostesses as we are partipating and the gift exchange is just one gift and everybody who bring a gift will go home with a gift.

Sure, but I won't have an availiable second until tomorrow evening. I'm working all day, scrapbooking all evening, working 5 hours tomorrow (yes, on a Saturday - ugh!!) and getting together with some fellow demos right after work tomorrow to play with our new Big Shots!! It will be first on my list when I get home tomorrow evening.
