You wanna hear a real funny one? My garage door was cross programmed so it would open spontaneously, so I had to disconnect it. I told maintenance that I needed a lock on it until they had their contractor come out. The maintenance guy looked at me and said, "Well, I guess we could do that, not that you really need it. It's not like there is any crime on Post."
I believe this was the same maintenance person that told me (when I was very obviously pregnant) that all I had to do to fix the siding that was coming off my house was to climb up on the roof and pop it back in place. I told him no....he was being paid to do that and really did not want the lawsuit that would come from having a 3 people fall off the roof.
I think he musta been on crack! Lazy bum needed to just do his job.

Is anyone from the PAX River area coming? I would be interested if I did not have to drive by myself and someone wanted to car pool.

I hope you can make it. It's going to be FUN! Do you have any stamper friends in your area? I think Tracy is still giving extra goodies to those who sign up and get a friend to sign up.

LOL! I think I have an active imagination lately. I'm changing names, adding kiddos....what's next.lol
It sounds like you are working to hard. May I suggest ordering some stamping stuff and then relaxing until it comes...or you could just go to the LSS and get a quick retail fix.

When we lived at NPS our garage door opener ended up somehow being tuned into our Next Door neighbor's door.. so every time we used it..HIS door would open. It took about a month before we all got the connection and Maintenance was like.. umm.. it works fine. Well yeah, his remote opened the door just fine.. but that still didn't explain why it would randomly open or close when he was no where NEAR. Just took a us both being in the cars at the same time before he came over and was like.. I have to ask you for a weird favor.. point your remote at my door.
Sorry, ladies. But I will NOT be able to make it. Soccer has taken over our life for the next 2 months. That weekend we have practice on Friday night, and games on Saturday AND Sunday. That's a lot for a 9 yr old and it's his first year to play. We are all a little overwhelmed right now.
You guys are going to have so much fun. And I will keep my eyes open for the next one.

I'm sorry Jennifer. We will miss you. Hope to see you next time.
Just a reminder, there is a free pot-luck Crop this Saturday,August 30 at the Russett Branch Library in Laurel. Please make some shoe box fliers and either drop them off at the library or maybe I can pick them up from one of you. There are about 30 ladies who usually attend.
The crop is from 9:00 until <whenever> From Ft. Meade go 198, turn right into Russett. Continue down about 1/2 a mile, you'll see the library on your left. You need to go to the back of the library and through the double doors, the meeting romm will be toward your right.
Thought you'd guys like a new opportunity to get some more players. We usually have several stampers among the cropers as well.

Another one of Kimme's friends. I forgot to talk to DH before he left. Hopefully I will remember to ask him when/if he calls. So sign me up and I'll let you know.

Here is the address for the swap and some directions for entering post.
Potomac Community Center
4998 2nd Corps Blvd
Ft Meade, MD 20755
directions:
Coming from 174 you will enter on the Reece Rd gate. Proceed straight until you come to the light at MacArthur and turn right. Then you will go down and take the first left on 2nd Corps Blvd. You will follow this road down passing a playground which will be on the right hand side. Then you will see the Community Center on the right hand side of the road just past Phelps Ave is the entrance to pull in to park. Amanda and I will also put up signs with arrows and balloons showing the way so it will be very easy to find.
You can also mapquest directions, however when you come in on post on Reece Rd do not follow all their crazy directions to MacArthur, just continue straight on Reece road until you reach the light at MacArthur, we will start the signs and balloons from this point for you to follow.
I found your re-inker from the last swap - have you missed it? It wants to go home. I don't want to disrupt your reunion with your DH so let me know when a good time would be to return it.
I have a question...I would love to join you all but DH coaches DS' football game that day. Is it going to be an all day, arrive when you can event? Just wanted to check so I wouldn't come across as rude coming in late.
Tracy and Amanda, my friend Kristyn is coming along with me, but she doesn't get on SCS very often. I will likely send our registrations in together (I am still working on Georgann!) Can you add her to the list please

The function starts at 11am and goes until 7pm. If you come late the only thing I would really worry about is you getting all your shoebox cards done. What time do you think you would make it by?

Awesome! I'll add her and there will be an extra giftie for you.

Actually, I thought after doing laymens math I saved like $183.86, but after going through the two receipts with the calculator I saved $215.72 and that's not including the already clearanced items that they gave me the 40% on.lol Which seems really weird, but I think I figured out why...all the items that end with .99 they round up in the customers favor, which after large number of items ends up being over all a greater discount from all the rolling up.
I think I've died and gone to crafters heaven. Just one question. Where the heck am I suppose to put all this stuff?
Kimme got your payment today. Thank you for the beautiful card, you'll have to show us how to use the copic markers. I haven't figured them out yet.lol
Cool Tracy! Did I write anything inside the card? Now I don't even remember which card I sent you. It has only been a few days. Geeze! I'm so lame! I can show you all how I use the Copics, but apparently I do it wrong. I like my results so I really don't care what the experts say
