Welcome to the 2nd Annual Edmonton EXTRAVAGANZA! Come join us for a weekend of Stamping and Scrap booking fun!
The First Extravaganza was awesome! So we decided to take it up a notch, and increased the capacity, and changed our location!
And because the event grew bigger, we have brought another coordinator on board: SAY HI to KYLA! (Skilo on SCS) so this year we have:
Diane (cameldiva) - PR – she’s in charge of the promotey stuff, charities, activities (outside the event) etc
Kyla (Skilo) – Logistics: she will be looking after food & accommodation info, maps, parking, etc
And finally there’s Me, Peggy (smallpigpig) – I will be having my feet up and barking out orders haha (j/k). I will be your money gal, swap gal, go-to gal, and (self proclaimed) organizer extraordinaire!

So the necessary info:
Date: May 24th – 25th, 2008 inclusive
Time : Saturday & Sunday: 8am-11pm –
On Saturday, from 8-9 is check in and registration but if you want to come to unpack or stamp early, I'll be there at 7:30am
We will officially kickoff at 9am on Saturday. This will give the out of towners time to arrive and settle in

if you register after April 15th (provided that there is space available) the cost will be $40 – difference will be going to this year’s theme charity - Edmonton Food Bank

- a couple of mysterious activities that we are planning AND WON'T tell you haha
Interested? Bring a friend and come join us! You can ask the folks who attended last year and see how fun it was! Last year we had a great turnout, and we are expecting the spots to go quick.
So secure your spots early! Registration is not officially confirmed until payment is received.
Once you are registered, please refer to the enclosed files in preparation, this includes FAQ, Lodging info, etc.
We will be having shoebox swaps this year again. To make it less intimidating, we have scheduled swap times so we can all do it in groups.
Assuming we have 60 people attending to this event, and everyone decides to participate, we have allocated 3 spots for each participant.
Sign up for shoebox swaps are available till April 26th. Because not everyone will be participating, any remaining spots is open for all. So if you wanted to sign up 6 spots, you can sign up your first 3, and if there is any left over, you can sign up for more after the 26th.
We will try to mix up the swaps so you will not be swapping the same person in mulitple spots There will be full cards, SB pages (6x6) and 3d items that you can show others. When you sign up please indicate if you want to do a Full Cards (FC), SB (scrapbook page) or 3D (3-D item).
We will be spliting everyone in groups at a later date. We are thinking groups of 5.

these are to be done prior to the event. You will be swapping them throughout the weekend.
Swaps will be in groups of 10, therefore you will be making 10 items (card fronts, 3d, 3x3 cards) - you will be recieving yours back.
there will be no mandatory +1's (for the organizers) but if you would like to give a sample of your work to the three of us, there will have 3 boxes for Peggy, Diane, and Kyla available.
Because you will have completed this swap before the event, there is no limit in how many spots you want to sign up for.
Final count will be done on may 15th - this is also the last sign up date

Finally,
Everyone started somewhere, and everyone have different skills, please be courteous. SWAP WITH EVERYONE. There is ZERO TOLERANCE for unnecessary criticism. We are here to have fun and meet people. Please make cards that you are proud of, chances are they will be wow anyways� we learn from swapping, and surprisingly, even if you consider yourself a newbie, you will be amazed on what ideas others can get from it.
There will also be a Secret Stamper Swap - this swap is a one to one swap: This is a $15 gift swap, and you will be assigned to a person you have to make the gift for by May 1st. Ie: Please sign up before May 1st
Please have at least one item handmade, the more handmade the better. Include one handmade card with the package, and please wrap the gift, so nothing will be revealed, please attach a tag with your Secret stampers' name on the package. There will be a list of �get to know your mystery gal� later . (I will attach a file on a later date)
If you have a stamp set that you would love to have images for or wanted to try out some folders/diecuts from the cuttlebug, let us know. We will see if the other ladies have that set/folder, and ask them to bring it to the event. Just bring some Ink and cardstock, and you can get some of those images you always wanted.
Please be considerate, if you are going to borrow some sets, try to fulfill other's wishes as well
Alter your shoebox swap container.
If you aren't in the swaps, alter a tool container for your workspace. Robin can get some alterable pizza box (plain box from local pizza shop) at $.50 each. PM her if you would like to buy a couple.
Challenge is to use what you put inside the box to decorate the outside.
There is no vendor restriction, we will placed all altered art on display. Everyone will put a secret ballot on which one they like best. Are there prizes? Maybe, maybe not....you'll have to see..............
ok - I am a little early to start packing - I know - but hey - ya can't start too soon cause I know I will be changing my mind on what to bring at least 40 times! heehee
I'm in too!!! Bronchitis or not. Even if I have to sit in a corner by myself.
Last year's was too much fun to miss this one.
Peggy and Diane, you both did such a fantastic job last year, I know this one will be just as great. Plus, with the addition of the organizational (get your jobs done) Kyla, you ladies are set to roll. It will be the best $35.00 spent.
I don't know Kyla. With that nice new big stamp room and all the new toys you just got, I'm glad I don't have that many choices. Although, I wouldn't mind the toys in my stamp room.
Being Miss organized you will have it down to a science, with no overflowing containers.

I would be open to an inchies general swap and an ATC swap as well. Would be neat to try something different. Card Candy is always good too...lol. Okay I will stop now. You guys are great!
