Twas the night before swap day and all through the house,
All the stampers did scurry, the heck with the mouse!
The shoeboxes were bagged with the utmost of care,
In the hopes that other swappers soon would be there.
With Rick watching TV and Donnie on FaceBook
I'm out to the kitchen, Candy Icing to cook.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my projects to see what was the matter!
WELL...............................
There's snow, rain and ice to name just a few,
The snowplows have been by a time or two,
I'm wondering what tomorrow will bring,
Hope to see you all there for our annual thing!;)
My DH ventured out to get parts to fix our garage door around 5:00, and he said the main roads were all clear. The snow has pretty much stopped around here, and we aren't suppose to get much of anything over night, so we should be OK in the Maine area tomorrow.
DH cut all the veggies for us! I doubled checked everything, charged camera batteries and phone, and everything is ready by the door. Tomorrow I just have to get myself ready, grab the veggies from the fridge, pack the car, and meet up with Nancy and Meg. I feel so calm! And I'm sitting with the massager on my back while I'm online...ahhh...

So that's how a brain works when the stress is gone and it's getting ready to retire..LOL. Did Rick help you with this one?
The difference is that when I stamp at work I keep getting interrupped by customers, phones, bosses, etc, and I can only haul in a few things. At home I have all my stuff here. But to be fair I was able to cut out over 200 stamped easter eggs and jelly beans at work. LouAnn, I forgot your spellbinder eggs :?
I forgot too...It seems like ages since I've seen you. Cant' wait until tomorrow. I'm all packed. Just need to print a few coupons and it's off to dreamland. See you tomorrow!!
Finishing up, watching Signs with Donnie. The only help I got from Rick on the one was to spell scurry. Unlike your get well soon card or the ice cream cake recipe.
Don't forget 5/14 for East Syracuse. Hope to see you then. I think we can be pretty sure that it won't snow but I won't promise because we have had snow on Mother's Day before.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who was able to join us today. It was a wonderful day, and you all made it possible. Thank you to Judy K for helping me set up, and thank you to everyone for sticking around to help clean up. Many hands DO make light work. Thanks to all who brought in door prizes, and I was thrilled that we had some extras to hand out.
I know some things were slightly different, so I appreciate your patience so that everyone could be included in the swapping and gifts, etc. Twenty projects was alot and I pondered splitting it up smaller, but I think in the end, it worked out fine. Had we had more, I would have made the tables smaller.
I hope you will all join us next year - plan on the last weekend in February!
wendy & i made it home alittle after 10.
off to see what i need to make for saturday!
thanks for great project & a great day
i LOVE making every project!
Kris, a big thianks for all the time and effort you put into the gathering. I had a lot of fun and loved all the projects. My favorite tip is how to tie the ribbon. I'm putting next February on my calendar.
Thanks everyone! A great time. I was saying on the way home that of all the swapping events I've been to (a whoppin four) the swaps and the shoeboxes were the best ever. Every project was a beauty. I would be proud to copy (or case) any project to use myself. Thanks again all!
Lisa
Well, DH helped me carry my bags into the house last night and I quickly explained that those heavy bags were not for me and they would be going to a young girl. LOL. THANK YOU again to those who brought the goodies for her! (Her name is Morgan) I'm sure she will love everything! ♥
And thanks to everyone for a fabulous day! I had a great time and the food was yummy!

I would like to contribute so is there anything specific you need for Morgan? I'm sure I have something in my stash.

I didn't get a chance to thank Judy (Retired2Stamp) for my bag-o-goodies in the gift exchange, and I know she doesn't post. If you read this Judy, thanks...and the chickie bag is adorable!
All the food was yummy, and I got the last door prize--the recipe swap! They are all beautiful, and I want to try making the food!
Made it home in time to see DH and DS before they left for B-Sens hockey.;)

Thanks for the great day. Wonderful shoeboxes...until next time.
Here's a tip. When I go to something like this, rather than worry about those craft store bags of goodies, I just tell Rick that I won the GRAND PRIZE DOOR PRIZE! By the way, what is "my dh"?
