The cards themselves don't need to have postage applied to them, as per the Cards for Troops program. But Becky, will probably need to get on and let everyone know if she wants us to chip in and help pay for a portion of the cost to mail the cards to the Cards for Troops coordinator. I can say from experience, in the past I've just stuffed them into a priority envelope (it's easier) and sent them off for $4.80. But again, it's up to Becky if she wants us to chip in for postage.
I hadn't thought anything about the postage, but no help needed. I'll send them out priority mail to the coordinator.

hi
I Live in Carlisle, PA and am interested in finding SCS friends who may live near to me. Cyndi
Hi Cyndi,
I really don't know that area well yet, but you can always start a PA thread to find out who is out there and willing to meet. Hope this info helps.
Hi everyone - sorry to hijack the thread but since I know there are a few cat lovers here I thought I'd throw this out to you all.
My neighbor is losing his home this week kind of a sad tale. Hes got 2 cats that he needs to find good homes one is a white/cream colored female about 2 years old, the other is a 4 year old orange tabby. Both are fixed but not declawed. They are sweet cats, very friendly, used to people & cats/dogs as well.
If you know of anyone interested, please let me know. Dan & I would take them, but between the 2 of us we already have 6.
I'm so excited I have swaps done and bagged, name tag done now I just need to wait around until August 8th to make the casserrole.
Yikes! You efficient people scare me! (Read: I'm secretly jealous!!) :-D
Anne - Good luck with the kitties... I wish I could help but DH has put his foot down at the 4 we already have... (I could easily turn into "that crazy cat lady" and have a gazillion cats!!)
I haven't even started yet. No fear they will be completed though, I am always prepared. I plan on having a couple samples for my SU! club meeting on the 14th so they can vote on which one they like the best. I'm a little nervous, can you tell?
Oh, and Becky, I'm going to CKC Valley Forge on the 1st, do you want me to pick up anything for a door prize or anything your looking for (that's if your not going).

LOL - no kidding, I haven't even scanned all my Amuse stamps yet to figure out a theme.
Thanks Caroline - I am hoping these cats get a good home. If my admin asst takes the one little girl - I might take the male. He's easy going enough, I think he'd get along with mine. I could be the crazy cat lady too! Dan picked up a kitten a few weeks ago - so he's already added to our brood!!
Location: On my sunporch- stamping and creating. Enjoying the view :)

Anne, I wish I could take another kitty, but Snowball and Tigger would not be happy about that!! They are so possessive they don't even like when they see my parents cat.
Hi I live in North Lititz, Lancaster County (between Lititz and Manhiem) looking for any gathering of stampers this summer - did someone mention a swap??? I am trying to figure that out. I hope I am not too late
Me too! I will be there Friday and Saturday!! WooHoo!
I'm taking a vacation day on Friday. I went last year for the first time, I was usually on vacation when the convention came around. NOT anymore. I am sooo psyched.

I think this particular swap is full (unless someone has to cancel and needs a replacement) but it sounds like there are some other local swaps/events being planned before the end of the year so be on the lookout!
The place you are holding this sounds really neat and not too far from home for me as some of the other get-togethers have been. It's a shame I didn't see it sooner, but the date really would not have worked for me this time either. I really hope I can make it to one of the get-togethers soon! Have fun!!!!
I too like Cr8tive K8 missed this! I had such a good time at the last shoebox swap! Hope you gals have a good time! sniff sniff....will be looking for the december date!!!
Maureen
Thought I would sign up for my food item. I'm going to bring a hashbrown casserole. Hope this suits! I will let you know what my mom will be bringing soon. Oh her name is Debby Mullen.

Thanks for the offer, but I've got the door prizes under control. I think you all will be very happy with them. I know I would want to win one!!! Have fun, I want to go next year!

I don't use mono anymore since I discovered the Kokuyo Tape 'n' Roller last year at CKC
So, I found my stamps... go figure, they were on the stamp shelf... who knew! Mock up is made, card stock is cut and bagged Now, let's just hope I don't lose any of it before the swap
