I just came across this thread. I'm in Utah and had no idea that things like this happened. How fun! Please enlighten me on how it works. I think it would be really fun to host one of these. Thanks for teaching a newbie how all this works.

I got the PM and it sounds like fun. Unfortunately, that day is booked for my family. That's why I thought it might be fun to be the hostess of one of the future get togethers. Please keep me in mind and let me know when the next one is planned. I would LOVE to meet new stampers!
My niece's baptism date was changed, so now I can come! So sign me up (again)! I'll be in the shoebox & other swap, but although I will wear a nametag, it will be the same one from Park City. (And the same one I'm wearing at SCSM.) I just don't have time to design a new one.
I'll bring whatever snack or drink we still need. Or cups, plates, etc. Just let me know.
Where are we at on numbers? I went through all the posts and I think we're at 17 for sure, adding Debora (yeah!) back in and taking Ruth Schow out (bummer!). I think Melissa's friend Becky was a maybe and have we heard from Erin Madsen?
Now for a post hijack, I'm thinking of hosting the next Utah Shoebox Swap in Utah County (Orem) in late August/early September after the new SU catalog comes out so we can play with the new sets. Does anyone know when school starts? My toddler will be starting preschool but I don't know the date yet. Let me know if there is an interest and what dates work for everyone-Saturdays. I probably won't post the signup until the beginning of July but wanted to "bait the hook".

And School in the Alpine School District starts the Week of August 18th not sure if it starts that Monday or if the teachers just go back that Monday. Can you believe it is that EARLY this year!!

Tricia - I'm getting my cities mixed up. I see that you are in PG but was thinking of AF for some reason. Is there a place by the new exit that you could park at? Or the 5th East exit in AF? You tell me where and we'll get you. You won't be left behind!

So, I checked out the "new" exit and there aren't any park 'n rides yet, Is the Wal*Mart too far off the Interstate for you to come? I live just barely East of the Wal*Mart in Lindon/PG and could have my DH run me over there so he wouldn't be without a car.
Or a less confusing parking lot might be that "gothic looking" reception center off of the "new" exit. We could meet there as well, that is not far from my house and just a little ways off the exit.
Amy, I think you're right. Melissa said Becky was coming, just not sure about the additional swap. Erin PM'd and she can't come that weekend. So unless we get some last minute sign ups, it looks like we will be at 17!
I'm so excited for this!!!! Also, I'm game for a swap in Utah County, just let me know.
I edited the first post with SCS names and relations so we wouldn't get all the Becky's and Melissa's confused .

She didn't cancel, her SCS name is shereel, her real name is Becky. I posted everyone's "real" name and their SCS name, if they have one, so I could keep straight who was who

I think I figured it out. Becky M is stampdancn and Sheree is sheerel so we need to put her on the list. This will be interesting, I could yell Melissa (Missi), Julie and Becky and half the group would be all ears!

I know for the SoCal Mania they do weekly challenges or something like that before getting together so I am proposing a challenge that by the 20th of this month, have a picture of you in your avatar just until the swap so we might be able to recognize a face with a name when we get to the swap...
Any who participate will be entered into a drawing for a gift! (my treat )

I looked on the Davis County school website and it looks like school here starts on August 25th. The teachers go back on 14th for New teachers and 18th for all others. My opinion would be to schedule it for September and let parents get the kids settled into school and stuff then I think more participation will happen. If someone drives the party bus this time, I will be coming down for it!
My final count for the nametag contest is NINE and the final count for the additional card swap is 15. Please look at post #73 and make sure I didn't miss anyone who wanted to join. I skimmed the posts again this morning but that doesn't mean anything. I want all who want to participate to be able to so please double check to make sure you are there if you wanted to be.

Looks like the final count for the swap is 17! Please make sure you bring enough supplies for everyone. Some gals have put each swappers supplies for their project in ziplock baggies. This helps me make sure I have the right supplies for everyone. I can't wait to meet new friend and see old ones!

I'm am planning on still car pooling from Orem. School starts back for me on August 10, in Provo district. I need to get busy on my shoebox and my swap. I'm looking forward to it. I am just Sheree.
