I had lunch with Christine last weekend and filled her in on the weekend. She has a few plans for the weekend, but said she may come for late Saturday/Sunday.
Haven't been on here for a while now. It is really crazy around here right now. Pentagon is celebrating our 30th Anniversary and we are having an open house for customers on Wednesday. We expect over 1000 for lunch. Then on the following Saturday, we are having our company bbq here at the house, so will have about 100 for a steak bbq. Lots of yard work to do, etc. etc.
If we are going to be a really small group, I've been thinking I should just set up tables here in the house. That would be easier than hauling all my "stuff" out to the shop.
Deb, Robin, Diane, Gayle, Cindy, possible Christine. Is that all? Does anyone know anybody else that might come?
I am going to have to be away for a bit on the Saturday afternoon. I think that is the day that Dana is having the open house at her new salon in town. If so, I really do need to help her out a bit. But that won't be a problem at all.

Sleeping arrangements -- I am down to one extra bedroom in my house with a queen size bed. There is one queen bed in the motorhome and one double bed in the motorhome. Anybody have any other ideas? Anybody have an RV they would like to bring?
If you have an OTT light, you might want to bring it for working at night.
I'll take care of all the food. I'll make simple meals for us. I will need to know how many are coming by Sept 6th (earlier, if possible) so I can make sure I have all the tables we'll need here at the house.

I am still planning to come, Deb. If there aren't enough beds, I will look to crash at Robin's or even find a room at a hotel/motel... and I have two OTT lights and a very long extension cord setup.
Deb, I will help with anything. Let me know what you need/want (food, tables, etc.)
Robyn, don't forget I am going to keep an eye on what ever project you are working on, I always have an unwanted opinion!!
I am undecided on what I want to work on. Scrapbooking? all occasion cards? Halloween stuff? Christmas gifts? so many projects to choose from not so much time.
Hi Ladies ~ Looking forward to it! Are we starting Friday night or Saturday morning? Deb would you mind if I bunked into one of the beds inthe motorhome? I will bring my own bedding so please dont go make up a bed or stuff!
Friday night. I'll have supper made, so don't eat first. It will be fine for you to bunk here. Anybody else?

Cindy - I have lots of tables and all that stuff. Why don't I just buy groceries and we can split it that weekend. I think there are only 5 of us, so we'll be in my house. Lots of room here.
I might be able to sleep all of us here. I will check and see if the one bedroom will be available for the weekend.

I would tell you to bring Brody with you Robin, but my cat Chico would be extremely stressed. He is very territorial and I would be afraid for Brody's health.
Gayle can't come :( They are going to Victoria to empty her Moms' house. So now there were 4. I will have beds here.

Going North on QE II -- take Exit 431. At the stop sign, turn right (onto Hwy 2A, headed South, towards Lacombe).
Go past the green highway sign that says "Lacombe 5 km"
The very next left turn off the highway will be right into my yard. Go across the train tracks and you are here.
Pretty easy, eh?

Not to worry. He could stay outside but then we would have him staring in at us 24/7. It is very un-nerving. Plus Chico would then have to stare at him to make sure he didn't come in and quite frankly he is afraid of cats.
I may have changed my mind to my Jamaica scrapbook.
I would have to close the blinds so that Chico could not see Brody. Chico would growl (not just any growl -- he GROWLS) whenever any animal is in the yard. He runs and smashes into the window on the door trying to get out. I have never seen such a territorial animal ever. I felt sorry for Tyler and Chelsea's dog when they had him. Chico actually hurt the dog - huge scratches down the dog's face that bled! It was awful.
I too am looking forward to the weekend. I think I'll do my Christmas cards. The ones that I cut out at the last retreat and was going to be so diligent and get them done.

I am not sure if I will be there Fri night or bright and early Sat am. Need to see how hairy, scary, crazy the start of the new school year is.
Regardless make sure you save me a spot right beside Robin, need to monitor her weekend productivity.
Whatever works for you Cindy. Just come Friday night if you can - supper will be ready. And yup, Robin needs to be monitored all right. Is Lisa going to be able to come, or is she already crazy with all those boys in hockey, etc, etc.?

OK - now I am really sad as I see all your posts looking forward to the weekend! How can I clone myself to be two places at once!
I am looking at my new tool bag I bought in Saskatoon just for travelling and I had it packed already to go to Deb's...that's what i get for being organized!
You ladies have a super time! I will be thinking of you as we zoom down the highway! Actually we are making a wee bit of a holiday out of it (I say that now!) we are going to go as far as Vancouver on Saturday and stay with out son who lives down near English Bay and go for dinner with him down there and then we are taking our bicycles so we can ride around a bit as mom's house is in Qualicum so we get some beautiful rides in and time spent with my sis and bro and neices so looking forward to it as well.
Have a great Sunday!

Though the whole escapade would be entertaining for oh....say....about 5 minutes, I think we would soon get tired of sitting in the dark listening to the cat growl and the dog scratching at the door. I still love Chico, he is a special kind of cat.
If Cindy is monitoring me, can I listen to reggae all weekend to get in the mood for my scrapbook? Maybe we could turn up the heat to 30? I will bring umbrellas for froofy drinks.
Gayle, just think how productive you could be if you picked us.

I have a Cricut Expression machine, the Cinch, cuttlebug, Big Shot. You are welcome to use any of these, so don't pack yours. I have just under 100 cartridges for the Cricut so if there is something specific you want, I can let you know if I have it or not.
Any suggestions for 2 dinners, 2 breakfasts and 2 lunches? I did get some bagels with strawberry cream cheese, eggs and cheese. I thought using the crock pot would help. Chicken? Roast beef? Wraps? Buns? Pancakes?

Deb, thanks for kindly offering us the use of your toys. I was going to ask and now I don;t have to.I'll being my own plates, though since I am planning to lots of diecuts.
As for meals, I am easy. maybe for lunches we could do coldcuts and that would be easy enough for us to assemble. And crock pot meals are always good.
sounds good Diane. I'm always happy to share what little I have (by way of machines) -- and I'm always happy to share what a lot I have of other stuff

Most definitely there will be a bed for you Robin. I will plan dinner for tomorrow evening for 7ish. If you are later than that, no problem, there will be lots when you get here. I'm going to make my Christmas cards, since I have them all pre-cut from Kramer's Pond. And we'll see you bright and early Saturday morning Robin. If you decide to come tomorrow night, that would be wonderful too.
