I'm game. I think Tangii may be game too. We've been trying to get together but with the holidays and the new year it has yet to happen.
Let's plan something before we all get super busier. I'm not available 1-23 through 1-26-09. I'm going to CHA. Anyone else going? I'm actually renting a room Friday night cause I will be getting Copic certified. But Saturday we could walk the aisles together and have lunch. Anyone?

Isn't there a stamp show in Riverside this weekend too?
I've been here and it was fun. I actually liked it better than the Carson, CA convention, but Carson is less than 5 miles from my home and the Riverside takes a bit over an hour to get there from my home, so if I go, I go to Carson.
Let's start the year off with a get together. I'd like to invite you to come play with me during the 3 day weekend in February. I've finally gotten a garage converted into my craft room and I'm still getting everything set-up but maybe this will motivate me to hurry up and get it done, LOL!
There should be room for 6 comfortably but we could maybe get a couple more in if we move some things around. I've got lots of stamps, all types, several die cut machines (I'll have an Accucut grandemark soon, yeah!), dies and all sorts of "stuff". Stamp, scrap, paint whatever project you might be working on - whatever. Just bring your workshop tools (scissors, glue, tape, etc). We can order in a pizza for lunch and I'll have snacks & drinks and we can craft all day!
I'm located in Apple Valley off CA Hwy 18 (zip code 92307 if you want to google it and check the distance) and I'll send you my address if you send me a PM.
If we meet on Saturday we can start early and stay late, if we meet on Monday we'll need to close up by 5 pm so we can go to work the next day. Which would be better for you Saturday or Monday, LMK
Ladies I'm sorry for the confusion but I need to move this to February 20th - when I got home and went to put it on my calendar I realized my daughter is getting married that Sunday in Little Rock, AR and I won't be here! I hope this doesn't prevent anyone from coming out and having fun.

Corona isn't too far from Apple Valley, Apple Valley is just up the "hill" a little bit
I've heard of Apple Valley. Do you come down the "hill" much? Are you and palmchic80 near eachother? Kathy
Well, I think it takes me about an hour to get to Corona, guess it depends on how you drive, lol
I get down the hill (Cajon Pass) a couple times a month usually, I have family in Lake Elsinore and North San Diego County that I visit, and if I want to do any real shopping. We have a sad little Michael's & a sad little Joann's in Victorville, no LSS or stamping, the last one closed up about this time last year. I travel a lot with my job so I get to visit other stores in other states which helps me get my stamping "fix". I've been stamping since 1997-98 (yikes! has it really been that long!).
I know what you mean about having shopping close by, I moved here from NH about 6 years ago and barely had any shopping closeby. Now I have lots of things close by and I love it. At least now we can get pretty much anything online.

I've been mostly doing papercrafts for the last 3 years and I love it! I love the fact that I can use the leftovers stuff in it too. This website has been so awesome for helping me with ideas and how to do things.

Seeing that you are from NH, I just had to jump in here. I am from Connecticut- and I thought that was a big "culture change", lol! So I have to ask: Are you like me and my family and absolutely LOVE it here? How about this January weather of mid to upper 70's this weekend? It this not the best?

I'm just south of Ontario. Culture shock is an understatement!! Of course, people in NH said we would "fit right in" here. I'm not sure if that was a compliment or not, lol! I absolutely LOVE the weather here! When we moved here (in the middle of January with a with a wind chill of 30 below), it was sunny and in the 70s. For months I kept saying to people, "Wow, what a beautiful day!" They all just looked at me like, "ya, so what, it's like this every day". I'll never stop appreciating this weather!! Even just the sunny days is such a treat! We were definitely vitamin D deficient in New England!

Absolutely NOT! It's beautiful to look at, but it's difficult to drive in and a pain to clean up. We got a lot of snow in NH. A lot of snow is when you clean it off your car and by the time you get both sides done, you have to go back and clean off the first side again! I don't miss it a bit!

How are you all doing with this rain??
Can you imagine- of all places my stamp room got water in it!!! Hopefully it won't rain hard tonight. My contractor is coming in the morning to check it out. Meanwhile I am moving stuff out of here. I am just glad I was home when the water came in!
Yeah, it was coming in under one of my built in cabinets. I think from a window. Hopefully it's not a big deal. It was raining sooo hard this afternoon, and it was so windy and was coming down right against that window. Once that stopped, the water stopped, too. I am putting towels down for tonight, as I don't know when it is supposed to rain hard again. Last I heard, apparently this was the first of 3 storms we are supposed to get this week. Ugggghh!

Thanks! I was really fortunate, as it was not a big deal at all. Unlike so many So Cal residents... have you been watching the news? Oh, it's just awful what so many people are dealing with!

I know we needed the rain but geez it didn't have to all come at once! On my way home tonight I had several miles of big fat fluffy snowflakes on I-15 between Barstow & Victorville. Traffic was moving at 40 mph, about half of what it normally flows.
More rain today! I can see the clouds forming. I am very interested in finding the weekly Torrance Stamp group!! I forget to log in here but will try to improve that.
