Hi Cindy! Sorry I haven't responded before now. It has been quite a while and I am looking forward to it. Everyone seemed to like my waldorf salad before. How about if I bring that? See you soon. Mary Bernard.

In case you want to mark it on your calendar, March 28th is the next SBS at church. I got the final confirmation this morning. I'll start a thread for it after this swap is over.
Wanted to let you all know that there is going to be a special raffle at this swap. The card ministry is in dire need of A-2 envelopes, and I thought of a way you guys could help me with that. Kathy D. made me an Advent calendar from a cookie sheet and those round tins a few years ago, and I've had it on display ever since in my stamp room. I'm going to raffle it off - for every box of A-2 envelopes or $5 you donate, your name will get entered into the drawing 3 times. So if you donate 2 boxes of envys, then you'll have 6 entries. Make sense? I'll hopefully post a pic tonight of the calendar. It's really cool and each day's tin as a goody in it to make it even more fun.
Now we have two open spots if anyone knows someone interested in joining us. This is really why I do the pre-registration, so the cancellations usually are minimal since you pay up front and it's non-refundable. The March 28th swap will be pre-registration & payment beforehand to hopefully avoid this problem.
Well, I finally have my cardstock cut and might even get my swap finished up this weekend and be ahead of the game. But then again, that last minute is my best friend!
I haven't even designed my card yet. I guess if I would quit changing my mind about which set I want to use, I could get it done.
Hopefully this weekend.

I was looking over the food list seeing if there were any holes to fill in, and boy, we are sure gonna have a feast next Saturday. Lots and lots of yummy stuff!
Our next shoebox swap will be on Saturday, January 31, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., at Faith Fellowship Church, 4375 Ebenezer Road, Perry Hall, MD. No particular theme! Come on out and stamp to beat the winter blahs!! There is room for 31 people to attend with each person bringing a shoebox swap for 30 people to make and something to share for lunch. There is a $10 charge per person to cover the hall rental and other expenses. This fee will be collected the morning of the swap instead of being mailed in just in case the weather would be bad, and we can't hold the swap. All cards are to be full cards. Please bring enough supplies for everyone to make your card including all cardstock, stamps, inks, embellishments, tools, etc., along with your own adhesive and scissors to use on all the projects we make. Please make sure all of your supplies are labeled with either your name or initials, so we all go home with the stuff we brought. We'd like each person to have a sample and typed instructions in their box telling how to make your card, and also have their swaps in baggies or envelopes containing everything each person needs to do your card. This really helps make the swap go more smoothly.
All cards or projects must be made using Stampin' Up stamps, cardstock, inks, etc. Stamps and colors can either be current or retired.
Please bring something to share for lunch. When you sign up for the swap, please post what youll bring for lunch. We do not have use of an oven, so please do not bring anything to be baked or that needs to be heated up. Crock pots are welcome. There is a refrigerator we can use.
There will be several door prizes throughout the day. And we will also be doing the card ministry drawings again, so feel free to bring your cards to donate. These can be old swap cards, card fronts, or even one of the cards you are doing for the swap. We collected a huge assortment of cards in November that has really kept our card rack full.
To sum up what youll need to bring shoebox swap (no theme), something to share for lunch, and cards for the card ministry if you'd like to donate any.
So start posting your RSVPs and what youll share for lunch. Any questions, post them here or PM me. Im hoping for a great turn out.
Hi, Cindy, I looked over the menu for Saturday and it all looks really great! Since I still haven't signed up for anything and it looks like there is a lot of wonderful stuff, I will bring the knives, forks, spoons and napkins which are also important things to have. Let me know if you need anything else.
I see you've had some folks drop out. If it's not too late, I'd like to sign up. Looks like you've got a pretty good variety of food and drink. Is there anything in particular you need?
My SU! order with stuff from the new catalog is set to arrive on Thursday, so I'm holding out on designing my card until I get my new goodies. Thought it might be fun to bring something brand new to the swap . . .

Hi Karen, we have one spot open and it's yours now. How about bringing either donuts or muffins for breakfast? Let me know if that works for you. Thanks!

Everything's coming together - door prizes & card ministry prizes are ready, baggies are ready, my swap is almost ready. And it's snowing now instead of on Saturday - yeah!
We are meeting in a brand new room at church on Saturday. Once you enter thru the front door, turn immediately to your right and enter thru those double doors. I'm not sure what the temperature will be in there, so please wear layers that you can remove if you are normally cold. It should be either 68 or 70 degrees, but a fuse blew on Sunday which only kept it at 62. Everything is fixed now, but just in case there is another glitch, I wanted to let you all know.
