Our next shoebox swap will be on Saturday, November 3, from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Owings Mills, MD. This swap�s theme is Christmas or winter related cards.
There is room for 31 people to attend with each person bringing a shoebox swap for 30 people to make and something to share for lunch. There is a $10 non-refundable charge per person to cover the hall rental and other expenses. Fill out the attached form and mail in your $10 to reserve your space.
All cards are to be full cards. Please bring enough supplies for everyone to make your card including all cardstock, stamps, inks, embellishments, tools, etc. Please also bring your own adhesive and scissors to use on all the projects we make. Please make sure all of your supplies (stamps, ink pads, scissors, punches, etc.) are labeled with either your name or initials, so we all go home with the stuff we brought.
We'd like each person to have a sample and typed instructions in their box telling how to make your card. This will speed up the process and also not have someone bugging you while you are working on something else. We�d like everyone to have their swaps in baggies or envelopes containing everything each person needs to do your card. This really helps make the swap go more smoothly.
All cards or projects must be made using Stampin' Up stamps, cardstock, inks, etc. Stamps and colors can either be current or retired.
Please bring something to share for lunch. When you sign up for the swap, please also post what you�ll bring for lunch. Crock pots are welcome � it will be a good time of year for barbecue, meatballs, chili, etc. There are refrigerators there we can use.
There will be various door prizes throughout the day. And we will also be doing the card ministry drawings again (2 or 3 prizes), so bring your cards to donate. These can be old swap cards, card fronts, or even one of the cards you are doing for the swap. The cards you have been donating have been keeping the rack stacked for the church to use. Thank you so much!
There will also be a food collection (canned goods/non-perishable items) for the church. Neither the food collection or card ministry collection are mandatory. Just something extra to benefit the church.
We�ll also have a stamped gift exchange that is not mandatory. If you would like to participate, please bring a stamped gift wrapped as a present that costs between $5-$10. It could be an altered notebook, beaded pens, coasters, etc. We�ll exchange these at some point during the day.
To sum up what you�ll need to bring � a Christmas or winter themed shoebox swap and something to share for lunch. Voluntary items are card ministry donations, canned goods, and a stamped gift.

OK Cindy, I can not attend but Mary Bernard (Mary) and Premienurse (Jo Ann) can. Mary has been trying for more than an hour to sign up and is having internet problems at home, but guess who she found at home and on her computer??? Yep, me :-)
She called and said "Sign us up now before it fills up like last time" - LOL
Please sign them up and Mary will post either later tonight or tomorrow what she will bring.

Cindy - Nancy offered to bring either a coffee cake for breakfast, or meat balls in a crock pot for lunch. Do you have a preference, and could she plug in a crock pot if needed? Cathy
