Come on ladies ... there's gotta be some stampers on here from Pittsburgh!!! I'm tired of stamping by myself ... my brain hurts from coming up with my own ideas ... Would love to get together and steal your ideas!!!!
Glassport --- which is outside of McKeesport. I was just out your way yesterday ... I'm involved in a stamp club that meets at St. Anthony's in Bridgeville.
It's pretty much general ... the woman who runs it is an SU demo. We just kinda bring stuff to work on. It's basically a big gab session, but you can see what others are doing. Last night the one gal didn't feel like stamping so she brought a box of pictures to sort. I don't know if ordering is involved ... I've known these ladies for a while, but this is only the second time I've attended. If you PM me your email address I can forward it on to the lady in charge (her name is Lynn) and she can fill you in more.
Hey, ladies! I'm also in Pittsburgh and LOVE to stamp and make my own cards. I get most of my supplies at Stamp Fanci in Westview. It's like Heaven on earth in there. I grew up near Monroeville, but now live in the City.
I went to the stamp show in Monroeville on Saturday and Sunday and honestly, I was disappointed. I probably wouldn't have even gone both days but I saw a stamp on Saturday and didn't get it. I was obsessing over it so I went on Sunday and got it. The convention seems to be getting smaller and smaller each year.
If you haven't been to Stamp Fanci, I highly recommend it. Margie utilizes every inch of space she has in the store.
Hi Ladies! I just moved to the Pittsburgh area about a month ago (Cranberry) and I'm looking for some stamping buddies. Anyone interested? Thanks! Tracey
Tracey: I also work downtown. If you work downtown, I think it would be great if we could get together for a lunch.
My last day in the office is Thursday and then I leave for vacation. I'm going to Portsmouth, New Hampshire and will return on September 12. I have to do some research because I definitely want to check out any stamping stores up there.
I lived in Richmond, Virginia for about ten years. I'm originally from Pittsburgh and moved back here about ten years ago.
Hope: I'm going to contact Pam when I return from my vacation.
I'd really like to meet up with you guys at some point. I'd love to meet some stamping friends! I work with a woman who I also got into stamping. I'll see if she'd like to join us. She's a blast!
Oh...like Hope said. You MUST check out Stamp Fanci in West View. Just like the sign on their window says, it's a "Stamper's Paradise." I could spend hours in there. In fact, on occasion I have.
Hi! Well, so far I haven't found a job. I'm a graphic designer and those jobs are pretty scarce these days. I'm still looking though. For now I'm doing a little freelancing out of the house. If you know anyone who needs a designer ... ;) I've actually been to Stamp Fanci. I made my DH stop in there last spring when we came up to check out the area. My eyes actually boggled out of my head I think. I had never seen so many stamps all in one place. AWESOME!! Great to hear from ya'll. Let me know if there are any stampin' get togethers. Tracey
Hi Hope! I actually "spoke" to you about a month ago trying to find fellow stampers in the area.
Once again I'm trolling around to see if there are any get togethers in the area. I'm in Greensburg. Be interested to see if anything materializes after the holidays!
Hey, Have any of you been to the scrapbook superstation in Butler, PA?? Its a must see........ I go in there and get overwhelmed, but you always leave with something. Its great.
My sister lives near Butler and has been there before. I'm sure she'd agree with you on the overwhelmed part when going to the store.
If anyone is interested, my sister's Creative Memories consultant hosts an overnight scrapbook crop at a church camp just outside of Slippery Rock. You scrap all night Friday(February 23rd) and then Saturday until after lunch (I'm not sure the exact times)
Let me know if anyone is interested in more info.
FINALLY!! Someone else from PGH! I just moved to Cranberry a year ago from Level Green (Greensburg area). Would love to get together to stamp with all of you. Let's try to get something together. We can meet at my house if you want.
I work in the same plaza as the "Scrapbook Superstation" and my DH swears that we have one of every item they carry in my stamp room. I have to admit that I haven't been in for about 4 months. I heard about Stamp Fanci from a coworker who went and loved it. I hope to make it there soon. My DH works in Cranberry, at MSA. What a small world we live in.
