It would be fun to do a holiday shoebox, after convention. Anyone up for it? Preferably close to Denver, though I am not opposed to traveling a *little*.
I live in Aurora, CO. I would love to have a get together. I'm not exactly the most central of those that have posted but I'd be more than willing to open my home for a get together. It would work best for me on a week day but some weekend days could work too if planned far enough in advance since I'm a SU Demo and try to have shows on Saturdays.
So lets see would Friday September 7th be good for anyone? Or Saturday September 8th?
We could do a potluck lunch. And have a couple people prepare a few different cards or pages to share with everyone.

Wow, I finally found some Colorado stampers!
I'm in Brighton and I was wondering did this sort of fade away??
I'm going to be moving hopefully to the Longmont area here in a couple of months. I go to Archiver's a lot to do my cards and would love to have people over once I get settled. I just like to get together with other people who love to create!

I too am in mid-move status from Ft. Collins but should be in the Westminster area in mid-March and the couple houses I'm considering have some great space for stamping and for me to host some others to create with me. It'll be spring before I can host and maybe before I can break away from the hubbub of this move to do much but I am interested in meeting some more stampers. I was just in Archiver's today and enjoy that sort of get together too.
I see this message is fairly old, but if there is still interest - I'm interested in a get together.
Anyone
Cool, you live really close too!
This could turn out to be a fun thing! My only weekend day I can actually do this is Saturday...my DH and DD work weird hours. So since I babysit the DGD's, I'm sort of stuck.
I am in Broomfield & would love to meet other SCSr's to scrap and stamp. I am 15 minutes away from the Westminster Archivers. So we could even meet there.
Weekends are my best times.
PM me.

It is old - but that doesn't mean that we have all forgotten.
I would love to get together and stamp and scrap with some locals.
I am right off I-25 & 120th Ave. Maybe 15 minutes away from the Westminster Archivers.

I would like to do some stuff after the first of the year. Probably can't do much in the way of organizing until after Christmas is over but could try and get a date going in January. I think starting off at the Westminster Archivers is a great plan. They have a crop every Friday and Saturday in January for $15 for 5pm-11pm. We could pick a date and everyone could register themselves so it would be low brain-damage for this first round. I would be willing to call and ask them to reserve a few tables in the vicinity for SCS'ers.
I could do pretty much any Friday and either the 24th or 31st for Saturdays. I'd probably rather go later than 1/2 but it might work.

Anyone else?

Hi Peg!
Yea - I think we are all very busy right now.
I think picking a day in Jan and hitting Archiver's is an excellent idea. Let's pick a date and invite everyone. It is pretty open to me so which ever is the most convienent scrap mania for you works fine for me.

I just found this thread...it popped up in my forum search.
I am atttempting to plan a get together in the Loveland/Ft Collins area in the spring. I will be starting a thread right after the holidays. This will not step in on your planned gathering, but I wanted to let you all know so that if any of you are interested... let me know and I will PM you when the new thread is started.
I wish I could get together with you all in January, but I have prior commitments and it's not enough time to change my plans :(.... I have never been to an Archiver's!!
Keep an eye open for the new thread, if you are interested!!
giving this a little post-holiday bump and I'm going to go put a quick note in the general stamping forum to see if anyone over there wants to come join the conversation. If you have a strong opinion on date, speak now. I'll probably make a decision late this week.
I just found this site and would be very interested in meeting up with everyone! I live in Loveland but am willing to travel. Holly, I would be very interested in what you are planning for the spring. I recently moved back to Colorado -- what is Archivers?? Please keep me posted on future plans. I need some inspiration. :p
Peg - No, I don't have any specific date in mind. Pick what is best for you.
Jillself - here is a link to Archiver's. It is a paper craft store. When I first started scrapbooking (because of genealogy), it was only one of three in the US. It has grown leaps and bounds since. I do still hit Michaels, JoAnne's & Hobby Lobby - but if I want something specific - I know Archiver's will have it.
I am open for Friday Nights, Saturday's & Sundays.

I'd love to get together but nights aren't good for me especially in Westminster. If anyone wants to do an afternoon I'd be fine with driving to Westminster. I'm actually in Aurora near the Archiver's here.

Hey Amber,
Sorry this first gathering won't work. I am hoping if things go well to maybe do something at my clubhouse a little later in the year and I imagine we could plan that for daytime hours.
p7eggyc let me in on this thread but I'm in the Fort Collins area and would love to get together with any of you ladies as well. I'm friends with Peg so I'm sure I could always jet up to Denver and stay at her place if it gets to late one night. I'm down for a SCS night at Archivers...I've never been there either!
Let me know when you decide to do your get together in the FTC/Loveland area this spring. I'd love to join you if I can make it! Where do you live at? I'm in FTC. Maybe we can get try to get together one day to scrap!

I live in Brighton and work in Thornton! I get together with a group of SU ladies once a month but that is usually just for cards. I would love to join a group that is more scrapbooking. Well really either would be fine!!!! If anyone is planning a get together, I would love to join!
I think that this thread shows how big the Front Range Really is!!! sooooo...
I am going to aim to go to Archiver's scrapmania on Sat, Jan 17.
I won't be able to book my table until the 15 tho.

It is so sad that Cherished Memories off of Main is going out of business. Had taken some fabulous card classes there.

I agree -- I really liked the store and the owner. Had actually wanted to teach there, but never got around to setting anything up.
Everything in there is 40% off for her closing sale. There is still quite a bit left in the store too. I think that new Michael's opening had a lot to do with that. She was the only store of that kind in Brighton until then.
I am off 168th and 85. I also work the a school district. I work for Adams12.

SMALL WORLD!!!
Yeah I went in the first day of the sale. LOL Stocked up on adhesive and might go back... we'll see. I feel like I have so much already, and I rarely use anything right now!
She had been talking about closing last summer, but many customers urged her to stay open. Then Michael's opened -- yeah, I think that had to be the last nail. :( Too bad. She carried several unique lines that no one else had locally.
Hi all,
Sorry I didn't make it back here to set a date last week. My calendar has been a bit up in the air. Things filled up a bit but I would still be able to do an evening at Archivers in Westminster on 1/31. If everyone will give me an idea if you are considering coming by Saturday evening, I'll call them or run by on Sunday and see if I can get some tables set aside but I need a loose number at least.
I'd like to come but with us getting back from Disneyworld a day or two before, we might just be wiped. Count me in for now and I'll let you know as the date gets closer. What time were you thinking and for how long?

The Archiver's crop runs 5-11pm and costs $15. You'll need to sign up but you can probably wait until after you get back from your trip and hope that it isn't sold out. Last time I went there, it was full but I don't think it was totally sold out. You have to pay in advance.
Peg, The 01/31 sounds great. I had something come up for next weekend and won't be able to go on 01/17 anyway.
Count my in!!! for Sat, 01/31

I am headed to Archivers now to sign up for 01/31!
Hope to see some of you there!
At any rate, I have some cards and scrapping to do. I only have a week or so left to finish 7 pages (for my challenge )
