Amazingly I got up at 7:30 a.m. and started searching for a stamp that I thought I had and need for next Staurday's swaps. Of course, I spent an hour looking and I didn't find it but I did find another one that I didn't know I had but also need for next Saturday. The cat's maintenance tasks are done, a load of laundry is in the machine, and the windows are open to let the fresh air into the house since it's a nice day outside. Time for breakfast and then creating for next Saturday's gathering...before I become overtaken by a need for a nap! FUN day yesterday but it was a looong one!

got home around dinner time last night, spent some happy time with my fellas. I just got into my craft room and really looked at the tag/3x3 swaps, they are great! thanks so much for the great stamping camaraderie yesterday, I have far too little of it so when I get a day it is always awesome.
Great to see you Michele, missed having Gael, Yvonne and Jackie there. I hope I can hook up with you ladies again.
I will post the recipe for the bean dip as soon as I bring it upstairs with me.
Glad to hear all of the great reports! We will be able to plan at the church again -- the pastors came through yesterday wanting to see what we were doing and she told me if it is available, we could use the space again.
Hubby got my swap box box from Heidi last night. I finally got a chance to check them over. What awesome cards!! Thanks so much ladies, for stamping/making them for me - so thoughtful of you!!!
My daughter actually looked through the box before I did and she said "wow, mom...these are some pretty cool cards"!!! At that point I had to drop everything and look for myself!
And all the extra little goodies...too - yummy yum! Just made my day.
I was actually able to get out and enjoy most of this beautiful Sunday, yippee! And, I have a vacation day tomorrow, cuz the kids have no school...woohoo!
I had a lot of fun last night. and it was definitely worth the work.
I'm glad Cammy and I kept it simple, and I'm glad you ladies appreciated it as well!
It was perfect and we are happy to host it again at another time. Who knows perhaps next october again!

1 can corn drained
1 can black beans drained
equal size cans
1 tomato cut up (i used 2 plum tomatoes)
1 red onion coarsely chopped
2 avocado, diced
whisk together and add to ingredients;
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar (I use more - but less than a 1/2 cup)
1/2 tsp salt
stir well.
I like to make at least an hour ahead to get the ingredients full of flavor. Do NOT make the night ahead, the avocado go brown. To prevent the avocado going brown if you are not serving for a while, put the pits in the bowl and remove when serving.
I serve with tostado scoops.
enjoy, it takes minutes to make this.
Thanks for the bday wishes! It was a great day. We drove down to Allamuchy for a short track/course race, which means 1.5 mile loop in the woods, race around as fast as you can for 40 minutes. It was perfect! Then JORBA and MTBNJ had their annual picnic which we hung out at, kids playing together, while DH and his brother headed out for a ride. Then the LOOONNNNGGG trip back home (lots of traffic on Thruway, Tappen Zee, Bear Mtn Pkwy, every direction) to shower and go out to dinner in New Paltz. We met up with DH's other brother and wife there. They did a good job helping me celebrate my bday!

Just wanted to jump on and say "thanks" Michele & Cammy - Deb and I both had a good day. It was nice to get out and stamp - have not done it in a while!!
