Everyone - I clocked the mileage tonight between the traffic light at Franklin Blvd (where you first get on to Reisterstown Road) and the light at
E. Chatworth Ave, where you'll turn to get to the church. It's not 4 miles, it's only 1.5 miles! Boy, I really overestimated that one I drive it often, but never pay attention to the mileage. Anyway, all of the milestones that I mentioned are good ones - just look for The Cow on your right, and Franklin Middle School on your left at Cockeys Mill Road, and the light at E. Chatworth Ave will be up ahead. See you soon!
Cindy - I think I'm good for food and things - thanks so much for asking
Cathy - I am going to be leaving around 6:30 in the morning that I am sure to be on time. It is about a two hour drive for me and being new to the area I want to give myself plenty of time. Oh, by the way I keep forgetting to let you know what I am bringing to eat. I am making a seven layered mexican dip with tortilla chips. I hope everyone enjoys. I am so looking forward to this. Maybe I will do a shoebox swap in the Southern part of Maryland and you all can come to it. Thanks again! Penny
Penny - that sounds great. And you should have plenty of time on Saturday morning, assuming light traffic. I live about 15 minutes west of the church, and can get to Solomons from my house in just about two hours (my brother lives there.) Drive safely - we'll be looking for you Cathy
Thank you for planning such a wonderful day of stamping. It was so nice to meet new SCS gals and see other ones I had met before. All of the cards are great. Mom and I had a great time.
I would like to applaud Cathy for such a lovely day yesterday at the shoebox swap in Reistertown, MD yesterday. I had never been to one, and it was the best thing. Also, wanted to say I meet a lot of wonderful people from SCS and it was great. I look forward to going to more shoebox swaps and meeting new and wonderful people in the future. Thank you all for a wonderful time yesterday.
Well, Cindy and Penny beat me to the punch. I wanted to post this yesterday, but my computer wouldn't cooperate. So, a big and sincere thank you to all who came to the Shoebox Swap yesterday! The cards were beautiful, the pace was relaxing, the food was yummy, and I enjoyed really getting to meet everyone. I hope to try to squeeze in another swap in between the two Cindy will be hosting in August and November, so stay tuned. Thanks, too, for all of your help in cleaning up, and a special kudos to Cindy for all of her help and support, and to Michelle, for staying with me until the bitter end, as we loaded up my car. Stay in touch, everyone, and I hope to see you again soon. Cathy
Cathy, Thank you so much for putting this swap together. I got to sit with some fantastic ladies during the swap and got to meet and re-meet some others from Cindy's swap as well. It really was a fantastic day with great door prizes. The pace was perfect and I really enjoyed the oportunity to sit with everyone and chat for a few minutes during lunch. Can't wait for the next one!!
Hello ladies, I'm so glad that you had such a wonderful time. Several times on saturday I mentioned that I was supposed to be stamping. But I'm glad that I did cancel. My son-in-law passed away friday evening so I really needed to be with my daughter. Now he is in a better place and not suffering any more. I look forward to the next one. Pam
Pam, I'm so sorry to hear about what you and your daughter are going through. Sounds like you made the right decision to stay with them during this time. I hope you'll be able to make the next swap. You will be in my prayers.
Cindy...a big thank you for all that you did in planning a great swap this last weekend. It was a blast and I really enjoyed meeting everyone. The food, company, door prizes, and cards were all great! I hope to see many of you at the next swap. Thank you for all the creative ideas!
Pam, I am so sorry to hear about your son-in-law. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family through this difficult. Take care and I will talk to you soon.
Forgive me Cathy for mixing up your name in my previous post. I'm afraid the results of pregnancy brain have reared their ugly head again. Thank you again for all that you did last weekend. I had a wonderful time and I enjoyed meeting you along with everyone else (including Cindy!). Hope to see you again in the future!
Hello Ladies, I just wanted to thank you for all the thoughtful words to try and comfort us. I saw Cindy last night and she brought me some of the cards that you guys made. Thanks for the cards they are really good. Great ideas. Pam
