Is it just me or does SU have a 'friend' or 'thank you' stamps included in alot of their sets?? How many friend or thank you stamps does one person need? I think the Upsy Daisy set was begging for a sympathy stamp instead of a thank you stamp. I love the Pocket Silhouettes Set except the words, how about something different for a change like 'You're the Best', 'Life is Good', 'You make me Smile', Happy Birthday to You, Birthday Blessings etc. I make alot of Birthday cards and can always use a birthday stamp. Would you want less thank you/friend stamps in SU sets?? What ideas do you have for brief sentiments instead of thank you or friend?
I totally agree. I wish they included more birthday greetings in the sets. And those only so many thank you sentiment I need! I really don't send "friendship" cards. And those I'm commissioned to make are usually birthday, anniversary, or sympathy.

Yes, I totally agree!!! I mainly purchase SU but I have never really liked the sentiments or maybe they are not really sentiments. I guess "one liners". I know there are some other besides "friend" but I can't think of them. Anyway, I also think their sentiments sets are a bit lacking and plain. I see so many cute ones from other companies. I never really use or know what to do with a single stamp that says friend, or smile, or enjoy...etc.
You are so right! That is the first thing that caught my eye with PTI, their sentiment stamps. The fonts seemed so FRESH to me, everytime I would see a card in the gallery that made me stop in my tracks, it would be PTI.
SU was my first stamp love and they still account for probably 80 percent of my collection but their sentiments are so, I don't know, not what I am looking for these days. It is sad really because it is so convenient to order from them. Guess I'll just keep ordering cardstock...
Or just the off the wall words that so many other companies are using like: amazing, grace, spirit, challenge, inspired, day by day and so many more. Where do we write to suggest they start working out side the wood block?
Ask and ye shall receive, lol... [email protected] is a great place to send suggestions. And they LOVE to get them! Seriously, who better to get their ideas from than the customers who want to buy their product?
I also would love to see more different sentiments...

I love SU, but this is my one problem with the catalog. I just don't use the "friend" stamps and how many "thank you" stamps do you need? I agree that birthday or other words would be more welcome.
how often would you stamp a card with bliss? I just don't think that is a word that anyone would use on a card and I think you'll find that in a few of their sets.

I've always looked at that one as more of a background type stamp, like in vintage, or collage, stamping. I can't think of a single time I'd use it as a main sentiment, either...

I agree with this thread. I also would like more sentiments for birthday and anniversary cards. Another sentiment that I don't have and would like is a stamp that says "for you" or "just for you" something to that effect. They may have a current stamp that says that right now but I don't want to buy a huge set of stamps I won't use.

I agree about the thank yous and the friends and want to add that I could do without the baby and wedding sentiments. I am just at that point where I don't need that type of card. But so many of the sentiment sets seem to include those. More birthday sentiments is what I need.

I am so in agreement on this. The "friend" sentiments drive me nuts. To be absolutely honest I have a lot of friends but all those about "best friend" etc. are crazy. I separate out my word stamps and have two drawers full of friend related stamps and only one of birthday greetings. I may have a lot of friends but those really mushy ones I would save only for one or two friends that really are the best of my friends. It would be great to get more variety in other sentiments.

In total agreement here! Really, the saying from some sets are just not something I would ever use...like the best business is that of making friends or whatever it says.

You put it very well, I have thought that for a long time too! I don't lack for friends, but neither do I need a bunch of stamps to that effect. Or some of the other one word ones, as many have mentioned.
I would like more fonts and sizes of Thinking of You-- that is so generic and useful for many occasions.
I'm with you on the thinking of you. That phrase could be used so many ways. The one that pops into my head for absolutely no use is "delight." I can't imagine a way to use that one!
Another sentiment I would like is for retirement. I am of that age where many of my friends are retiring.
I agree, the 'Upsy Daisy' set sentiments don't fit. I thought I would use this set but am having a hard time matching the flowers with the appropriate sentiment even from other sets.
