Default Studio Chair

I had a eureka moment today I wanted to share with y'all. ;)

I've been having a hard time sitting at my desk for any length of time since tearing some muscles in my thigh last year. I just had knee surgery so it was really hard to sit still. HOWEVER I noticed today after sitting in a metal folding chair for about 20 minutes that nothing hurt  So this afternoon I sat in that chair.... and lasted nearly 2 hours!!

Exactly WHY is this so weird you ask  Because the chair I was sitting in is a padded, adjustable desk chair from Staples. I bought it while I was teaching so I'd be comfortable I guess you can just never tell what type of chair might be more comfortable for you. Of course, now I want a chair with wheels on it.....

So what exactly did I do while sitting in my chair for nearly 2 hours? I made two calendar pages and two cards!

That's awesome! I wonder if it has something to do with the chair being stable. That's up there with me, after foot surgery having less pain when I wear Skechers tone ups (the shoes that are supposed to be harder to walk in) than any other, including more expensive shoes!

Glad you had fun!

I was just mentioning to a friend how hard it is to know what kind of chair to buy for just this purpose. I could go for great lumbar support but I don't sit back when I'm crafting. Maybe I should try something sturdy like you did

I don't sit back either. I'm wondering if the length of the seat makes a difference? Maybe if the chair fits closer to the knee it offers more support to the knee and thigh? Weird!

And I just hate that fact that I'm old enough to even have to worry about this

I think the length could matter... Don't know if it's better to be closer to the knee or not. I don't like being old enough to worry about it either. :-(
