Default Simon Says Stamp?

I've actually ordered from them a few times, as I like their international shipping. But I ordered on the 21st, and my order has not yet shipped :( Isn't that a pretty long time to have to wait? I contacted them to ask why, and after a day or so, I got I reply that said some of my items were on "reserve", and as soon as they came in, it would ship....I just assumed everything I could order was available, I guess.... Has anyone else had this kind of experience? I am wrong in being a little bummed about it?

Thanks!

I order online a lot and not just for crafting supplies. Some companies list back-order status on items before you purchase them and others don't. Sometimes I don't find out until I receive my order and the missing items are listed as back-order status on the invoice. In most cases items are shipped as available. Some crafting sites do state any back ordered or even pre-ordered items will delay shipping of the entire order they are listed on. I'm not sure if this is standard for Simon Says Stamp, or the fact that you live overseas is a problem. I'm sure shipping costs will prohibit the piecemeal shipping of an order. So sorry you are having this problem. I know it can be frustrating especially if you don't get an approximate ship date.

Thanks for your reply I wouldn't have minded so much if there had been a notice on the site that said if the items weren't currently "in stock." Once the packages ship, I know to how long to expect living here in Japan, and I certainly wouldn't blame them for a delay after it was sent.

I guess I'll just wait patiently and keep this in mind before I order from Simon Says again...

Hi Laura!

I am sorry you are bummed about our Reserve system and hopefully I can help. When an item is on reserve, the title of the item starts with the word "RESERVE" The description of the item will start with a paragraph that highlights the details like this:

"If you would like to reserve this item now, you may purchase it now with the rest of your order. We will hold your order now and ship your entire order as soon as this item is back into stock. We anticipate the item will arrive in July. "

Unfortunately since I don't know your full name I cannot check on your specific order for you, but it sounds like customer service is helping you? Typically items are only put on reserve for a short time. This is done on high selling products as a convenience to customers who want one stop shopping so that if they have an order they can place it now while the other items in their cart are still in stock. Then we ship once it's all ready.

Typically we strive to ship all NON reserve orders within 3 business days. Our Summer Sale was the weekend of June 22 and the unusually high order volume this time has caused our shipping department to be about a week behind. This is an unusual situation for us. However, our team is working 7 days a week to catch up and we should be caught up very soon. We are very sorry for this inconvenience!

Thank you for shopping with Simon! As a Splitcoast Member Company, Simon Says Stamp works hard to promote community. Please contact [email protected] if you have a specific question about your order. Our team is eager to help you!
