Default Shipping to Australia from US

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to ship to Australia.

Can I send it Priority Mail?

Is this the correct chart?
USPS - Priority Mail International Prices

Is there customs?

Does PayPal convert to US dollars for them to pay?

Thanks for your help, have a good day!

Keep in mind I've never sent anything to Australia, but my hubby has. (He sent a motorcycle shock and it cost $80, due to weight).
Yes, but it costs more.
Hubby said that is the right chart, so that is prob 80% true.
He also said that if it weights more then the 20lbs limit then you are "screwed", that is what happened to him sending the shock.
You just have to fill out the customs form at the PO, just like if it were only going to Canada.
Yes, paypal converts, I don't know how but I guess it does.
Just remember that you can only sell retired products.... Also, remember that stamp sets are deceiving and weigh a LOT, at least when there is more than one.
Hope that helps.

Thanks, it's just cuddlebug embossing folders no SU involved. So prob be less than 5 lbs. Your honesty is truly appreciated, thanks again!

As an Aussie I have had a lot of experience getting stuff sent to me from the US. So to answer your questions

Yes Paypal will convert the amount we need to pay from US funds to Australian as per the conversion rate at the time of payment.

We don't have to pay duty our end unless it is a really BIG purchase so what you are sending is fine.

The main thing is how it is sent ... if you send it normal post like you would in the US it could take 3 months to get to us. So either airmail or a global priority mailer is probably best.

I have sent several things to Australia (small, light items) from my Etsy shop, you need to go to the post office and a get the international shipping/customs slip (it's green) and fill it out, it's easy, just basic info and how much the item costs, etc. I always send things first class and yes it can take awhile but it's usually the difference between $4 and $24 for a light weight item. My items have arrived around two weeks after I've sent them.
