If anyone's sold craft supplies this way, would appreciate your opinions. Am considering using it vs eBay. Would like to hear what works, what to be wary
of, etc. Have already been urged to include 'cash only' in description and meet buyer in a very public place vs my home.
I haven't sold through Craig's List in a long time, but when I did list something there it was okay. Of course you can expect to get spam emails so I never answer those and I never post my phone number for text messages either. I just use my email address for arranging sales.
Like you mentioned, ask for cash only, meet in a very public place and I would suggest that you don't go alone. My husband would go with me and we would park in the parking lot in such a way that we couldn't be blocked in- you just never know and you can't be too careful. Also it helps if you can set up your meets at the same time.
What I'm planning to sell are a lot of scrapbooking supplies. I've gotten very much into card-making, and enjoy it much more than scrapping. Purchased enough album-making supplies to last me for the rest of my life, and now I just don't enjoy it anymore.
I started out stamping with scrapbooking, but over the years I've learned to love card making more and I rarely ever scrapbook now. You never know, you may have some success selling your items here. I sold most of my scrapbooking items at my yard sale. One person came along and bought everything.
