I was wondering if someone could help me with stamping papertreys *boards and beams*
i cannot get a complete image of the larger house.
i have NEVER had this problem, but no matter the pressure,
no matter the inks, i have spaces that just are blank on the
paper. i have waited sooooooo long to get this, i planned on using it
for my christmas cards and now i can't get one house to
stamp completely!
what am i doing wrong?

I have to admit, I've been having that problem too. I've conditioned the stamp, used Stazon and Archival Brilliance and still no clear image. The only thing I haven't tried it putting a mouse pad underneath the cs then stamping it. I've heard that this might work, but honestly, I haven't tried it because I haven't wanted to pick up the set since all my other attempts failed.
I'd also be interested to hear if anyone has had no problems with their set. I am under no delusion that this issue might just be 'user error' on my part!?:oops:

Do try a cushion underneath this very well may help. I was also using a chalk ink on mine and I had no issues. These are the only things I've done differently. Good luck ladies.
I don't have this particular stamp, but when I've used larger images with more details, I always put my mouse pad underneath to stamp it. The cushioning does usually help. Also, I stand up and somehow the more direct pressure helps, also. Hope this works for you!

Thanks for the advice Wanda and Dianne! I definitely stand up and apply pressure when stamping but I will try the mouse pad thing too. I'd use chalk ink but I like to watercolor my images so I need to use a permanent ink most times. I'm going to resolve this issue tonight!

Hmmm.......that's weird because I've stamped about 40 of these houses and they've all come out PERFECTLY! I've stamped it on PTI white CS, and on SU! Kraft CS. I used Palette Noir ink, a CTMH acrylic block on my wooden dining room table.
i have used palette noir on su white, and used an acrylic block on my dining room table.
i have stamped every card i ever made on this table.
i use the same blocks for all my unmounted
with NO problems.
i really want this to work, i can't figure it out!

Chalk ink is waterproof--I use it for watercoloring ALL the time. You can heat set it to be sure, but I usually don't.
I agree with everyone that suggested a mousepad. You also want to be sure your table doesn't "give" when you stamp those larger stamps. Isn't that funny how you want to work on a mousepad to have cushion, but don't want the table to "give", but it works. The first time I used the big house I had trouble with the entire image stamping, so I grabbed the old mouse pad and it worked beautifully. Since I liked the way the cushion helped, I went to Michaels and got a large piece of craft foam. It was pretty thin, so I bought 2 and sticky stripped it together. Perfect cusion under my entire stamping surface. Hope this helps. Good luck. It's a gorgeous stamp set.
I don't have this set yet (it's in the mail ), but I have 2 pieces of regular fun foam, with a scrap paper on top at my work area. That's what I do ALL my stamping on. I find it helps with any type of stamps- wood, unmounted, and clear.
I was having the hardest time with clear stamps in general. Big ones, little ones, detailed ones, and things with large flat areas that needed lots of ink. And it was SO hit and miss. Finally someone told me about the mousepad. I have had no REAL problems with them now. I do have some issues still, but I think it has to do with the quality of the stamps, rather than how I am stamping.
