I recently ordered some stamps and dies from Gina Marie Designs and am very happy with everything I ordered, and the speed of delivery. I probably would have ordered twice as much as I did, but quite a few things I wanted were out of stock. Does anybody know how often she restocks, or if the stamps and dies that aren't her design are restocked? I am new to this hobby and am so thankful I found this site and all the wonderful information and help on here.
Welcome to SCS! It is a great place-you can find it all here-info, humor, etc
I like Gina K too but dont know that answer. I dont even remember if they give you the opportunity to tell you when it is back in? I'm sure someone here will know though.
I've been buying quite a few dies from Gina Marie the past few months and here is what I've learned.
She sells the dies she has on hand and then will bring them back (probably a lag time between her ordering them to be manufactured and when they are delivered to her...they are USA made so there is not the dreaded "stuck on a cargo ship" issue.)
She also puts dies on the website that are "new but not ready yet". They will show as out of stock, but they will be available when she gets them.
I had a reason to email her a week ago and in her note back to me she said to be watching the website because she will be having lots of new dies available in the next couple of weeks. Which means they should be showing up as available very soon!
I've discovered that if I check her site on a weekly basis, she often times has restocked something I had on my wish list that was previously unavailable.
I would say that if you have your eye on a particular die set and it is showing out of stock, you might send her an email (contact info on the website) and ask when it will be available again.
I have been so impressed with the quality of the dies she produces, as well as the great prices and good service. Love my Gina Marie die sets!
I have every single die she has put out except the heart balloon. It was out of stock. I order often. I love her dies and find she restocks pretty regularly. I also have about 15 sets of her clear stamps. They are goid quality and stamp beautifully.
I have had several conversations with her via email and she has given me pics of dies that are coming. Lots of nice new dies!

After you check out Gina Marie dies, you might enjoy seeing other dies she has on hand (limited amount and priced to sell), as well as stickers (also priced well!).
I love her. I hope she becomes a huge player in the stamp and die arena because her prices really do reflect value. It's crazy that a stamp set costs $20, and dies are $18-$25 these days.
The only misgiving I have is a lot of her dies don't show sizes. Ever buy a die or a stamp and when it arrives you realized it's too small to do anything with? I have learned my lesson on that - I try to buy from web sites that list the width and height of every item. And I use a sheet of grid paper that has been marked in inches so I can get an idea of size and depth of the image it will create and how well it will integrate with all my other stuff.
That's true Janet! I have one of those grids too! I marked off an A2 postcard in halves/inches in both directions and keep it by the computer. Has helped a lot! I had the opposite problem-I got some stamps that were way too big for an A2. But I think I can use them for 5 x 7s. Too little and I think about putting several on or making a bg with them with multi cuts.
It's American made too. When I first saw the prices I thought it was from overseas but no. I'm excited! Now I know why I couldnt find her under Gina Marie!
I've often wondered why dies are so darn expensive. They are just tiny pieces of light-weight metal! Oh well, I'm sure there is a logical reason (maybe). I've got some Gina Marie dies coming in tomorrow and I'm SO excited.. can't wait to try them! Her prices are simply outstanding.

I agree her prices are so much more reasonable then some. The coordinating dies for some stamps sets are way too pricey for me. I just heard of her from this thread.
One thing that might hold me back. Her Stampoholic Stamping Tool looks suspiciously looks like a copycat MISTI. There are just some slight differences-color of the tape on the edges and the color of the grid. The cost is similar so you won't be saving anything except it is on sale now. I might be wrong since I am only looking at a picture.
I have never done business with her so am not accusing her of anything.

I went to the brick and morter store yesterday and Oh my gosh i wanted everything. I bought 10 dies 1 Eb folder, Tim Holtz stamps and some score tape, and was so excited not to have to wait to get them in the mail. I can't wait to try them. I will be making another trip soon.

Let me know and I will measure mine for you.

Almost everything I want is out of stock. I guess that's good for my pocketbook. What great looking products! Will keep my eye on the site. Thanks for the enabling.

The address for the store is 5357 Alpine ave. Comstock Park. mi. 49321. Very nice store, friendly staff. New stuff all the time. I too live in the area and this is one of my favorite go to stores.

Well, I went back yesterday and everything I wanted was in stock! I'm so excited to get some new toys.
Thank you to the SCS community for bringing this wonderful vendor to my attention. I'll post new gallery cards after I use some of the dies.
I went to Gina Marie website yesterday also. I found 2 of the items on my list had only 1 left in inventory and one item was out of stock. I am finding that stuff is out of stock more and more - probably because I've already purchased the standard dies and older stuff. Kinda hit and miss on this any more so I don't shop there as much as I used to.
Frustrating to have half the stuff I want out of stock, yet still trying to meet the $50 free shipping limit.

I would recommend checking back everyday to see if items have been put into inventory. She is very good about restocking items that have sold out (and sold well!). I think with so many new die sets being added that she is slammed with keeping up with getting them packaged so they can be sold...just a guess..
I noticed she starting putting a disclaimer on some of the newer stuff "not in fancy, smanchy packaging"! I received an order from her a few days ago and 3 of the die sets were nicely mounted on patterned paper (pretty!) rather than her printed Gina Marie insert. I will say that the patterned paper was easier to remove from the packaging and also easier to get the dies off. 8-)
So the take away from this is to be vigilant and patient! Not easy to do when you want an item, but I totally understand wanting to hit the magic free-shipping threshold.
I just placed my first order today having found out the out of stock ones I wanted were back in. Still want more but that's fine..I cant get em all at once anyway! Very excited-since I found out where to get them from this thread, it's been in the back of my mind since!
Sounds like she is very busy if she does not even have time to package them...that's good news!

I don't see a problem with someone else making a similar product. A large number of the tools we stampers and scrappers use are very much alike (cutters, scoring tools, sanding blocks, stamps and dies,). Unless the Stampoholic tool is breaking patent laws, I see no problem.
I think you are confusing Scrapbook Outlet ($10 dies and $10 flat rate shipping)
with
Gina Marie Designs Dies ? Page 2 ? Kat Scrappiness ($15 dies free shipping over $100 AND the Stampaholic tool which looks like a direct copy of the MISTI.. NOT COOL and probably a violation of copyright laws since changing teh color is probably way too close)
So bottom line is order from the Scrapbook outlet (a Michigan company) and you will save money.
If you are looking for a MISTI I'm putting in a plug for buying your MISTI from Oozak as shipping is free for orders over $50. He's got great prices on other craft supplies too. Great service. (another Michigan company)
I just wanted to let you know that most of the Gina Marie Designs dies are from China suppliers and can be found at **********.com. They are not made in USA. You can go to the website and search for cutting dies or dies scrapbooking and you will find them all there. To me the good thing is that shipping is free. I also found there lots of sets from the Doohickey Magnolia Club, from the early vols. My Gambi Kuretake watercolor I got from this place and was very pleased with the service provided by **********. Hope this information helps.
As for me, I find it impossible to visit Gina Marie's site and spend less than $50, so shipping has been free. And the dies on ********** that are like the ones Gina Marie sells are more expensive. I do have to say **********' are some of the lowest prices I've seen other than Gina Marie's. I think it's nice to support a business like Gina Marie's. Maybe it's just because I'm a sucker for a nice family picture like the one she has on her "Our Story" page. lol
P.S.: Thanks for the information, Candida. It's always nice to have options.

You're welcome, Pam. I agree about supporting a local business bur for some of us the international shipping is way too expensive which makes ********** a good option in these cases. Gina has really good prices but I still did find several that were less expensive, including the ones that she is sold out. Anyway, it is good to have options.
BTW... I did spoil myself with several of the stitched/cross-stitched dies from Gina.

Thank you very much for posting about this. I have created an account with **********. It's nice to have a comparison on prices.
And thanks for showing that it all comes from China! I think the markup on dies is around 500% so it's nice to see sites like this offering to sell dies for around $5.
