I had to google the word, I have never heard of punchinella, it's pretty cool!

I saw a few places that sell it when I did google the word but nowhere I've hear of or have experience with.

I've purchased it here in the past: American Science & Surplus : Items Just Off the Truck
I checked, and they don't appear to have in stock at the moment. But they've had it pretty continuously over time. It came in bright colored metallic, wide strips, several colors to a package at a very reasonable price. I'd check back with them in a week or so.

I used to get it in a local haberdashery store.

You can get it from lots of places on etsy. I think I paid 60 cents for yard. I bought it along with some other stuff from the same seller so she shpped it for free.
