Has anyone posted a link to the new occassions mini that will come out in Jan.? A demo showed it to me so I know that it's out, but I had to look at it really fast because I was late. I figured some probably had posted it on here, but I don't see it. Did I miss it?

You can watch for sneak peeks of stuff after Dec 1 because demos will be ordering stuff on the first and we can post our projects. And I better get to stamping because I still have stuff from this holiday mini I haven't used yet..eek!

I'm in love with the sweet little set Button, Button...I think that's what it's called. How adorable is that? I've just seen a few cards here made with it. Maybe my demo will have the catalog at our monthly workshop this Friday....oh, what fun!

Ooooh, so glad to get a peak at these before I picked my selections for the demo kit, now I can plan my next few months of orders for my Stampers 10 club and for my first big order....
Thanks!. The DP looks better than the Christmas selection, however the price went up again. $1.20 a sheet ( with shipping and tax) for the printed paper . . The Special Designer paper for Valentines day is $14.95 or $1.44 per sheet with shipping and tax. That is getting quite pricey
The Cupcake and Birdcage lovers will be thrilled. There is even a build a cupcake punch LOL I guess SU didn't read the thread of things people are ready to see go out of style. LOL
Yikes  I just saw that The punches went up $7 to
$ 23.95. That is a 41% increase .
If anyone wants the decorative label punch in the Christmas mini you better buy it now. It is $16.95 in the Christmas Mini and $23.95 in the January Occasions.
I sort of like the Build a Petal punch, but not enough to spend $25 with tax and shipping.
I decided to put myself on a stamping diet starting in January. For me this offering will make it easier :(

Those are Canadian catalogs...even though they aren't supposed to be shared online yet.
Sooo, the prices there are not the US prices, CAN is always more.
The buttons and stitching wheel are fun. May have to think about those.
I know there is a difference in the exchange rate between the US and Canada, but WOW, the prices in these cattys seem high compared to US.
And right now the difference in the exchange rate is negligible. Today's exchange rate - $1 CDN = $0.99 US.
As a Canadian, unfortunately, our prices are higher and they always have been. They are a lot better now than they used to be though. In the past, I have written to SU! and asked about the price difference, and the response was more or less "that is the cost of doing business in Canada".

Thanks for posting the links. So good to know the glimmer brads are back in the new mini (I love those). Am also glad that they are giving other options to the SAB sets again this year.
I couldn't get one of the links to totally download so I tried something and it worked. I deleted the CA before the .pdf and switched it to US.pdf and it fully downloaded and it shows the US prices.
Thank you RachelRainbow Sorry to give our US friends such sticker shock Ha! Not sure I like it much, that will change when I see the beautiful items made by the people of this site.
I could have bought the decorative label punch later on drats! Instead I could have bought other things in the holiday mini. Why SU has to make such a secret of things I do not know.

I don't know if making such a secret is the way to put it. As a demo, you get to see it early, order early to prepare for your workshops, etc. It is a perk of being a demo. Understandably, they want the focus on what is currently available, not so much what is coming soon, although, I could understand that more if the minis didn't last as long as they do. I know myself, no matter how much I love the current mini, which I do, I also look forward to getting the new stuff too. I have to make sure that I stay focused and make sure I get what I want out of the current mini before I focus too much on what is coming.

Okay, lots to love there.....funny how we are all different, as I loved Sale-a-bration this year. I need sentiment sets and love the quirky font used on the sentiment set. I think there are three sets and I want them all!
There are a few things things from the mini I will get. I loved the set Valentine Defined! And those spinner cards.....WOW!
I love these little leaks.
I know we should wait and we do have to wait to order but this is sooo fun!

No Wish to offend anyone with what I said. I have a limited budget, there is no way that I could afford everything I want in every mini. I wish! I guess if I was a demo I would enjoy that perk of knowing what is coming. It is marketing. That is the way it is done. The tease, the anticipation. It is just like buying the IPhone and having Apple invent another great phone just after you already purchased, because somehow you are going to need the new phone. Part of the secret or "not being able to see it" is a marketing ploy. For me personally, it turns me off of buying. I will wait until I really need it.
It would be nice to be informed that maybe you could put off your purchase of one thing so that you may get something else in the meantime. Actually, I think SU did that once before (informing that a item would be extended) maybe I missed the fine print?

Minders, I believe that the US one could be shared just as easily. The thing is our dollar is pretty much at Par. If we Canadians could buy at your prices I be buying at a lot more! I wrote SU to ask what laws Canada has that makes the prices higher. As that is the reason they say our prices are higher. I have yet to receive an answer.
Thanks for the links... Not sure what the big secret is either. The more we see the more we want!
Luckily for me though, I didn't like anything in the occasions mini.. I really dislike vintage/retro, and almost everything in that catalog looked like that style to me. But I do like the Punch Bunch and the dsp in the SAB catalog.

I wasn't singling out Canadians, sorry if you took it that way...neither catty is suppsoed to be shared online yet...but it happens every time. Was just pointing out that it was CAN so those in the US didn't think the prices jumped. I feel for you Canadians with the higher prices, that really stinks but is what it is I guess...

No offense here! Sometimes SU does tell us what's sticking around but not all the time and not for everything. It's nice when they do but I don't expect them to do it all the time. It's just kind of a gamble and it really doesn't make sense to tell us everything that will stay...no one (or a good portion of demos anyway)would order stuff that wasn't, ya know? Plus, they probably have to see what sells and what doesn't. We know that the bingo set and background will be in the next catalog...but again, they don't always tell us. I sure hope a lot of holiday mini stuff comes back...but then again I'll just find a ton of stuff in every catty they come out with though, haha.
As for punches it's a safe bet that they carry over, as well as big shot items. They have yet to offer a punch in the mini that doesn't come back. And most times even if the mini period is over, you can still order the punches (even though they aren't listed anywhere), the numbers still work in our system. Then you see them in the next catalog and this time they actually put them in the next mini as well. They might not be in the summer mini when it comes out but I bet you can still order them. Hope that helps as far as the punches!

I think we are lucky to live in the US or Canada. Have you seen the prices in the Aussie catalog? The US dollar is not far from the AUS dollar, and yet their prices are through the roof.

Oh I bet! I haven't looked lately but I can only imagine! I have to say I'm glad I'm not in Canada...only because it's colder there than it is here and it's more than cold enough here for me, haha.
And Ilina, did you get a new profile pic? It's adorable:-)
I wish the medallions on the pre-printed Medallion Medley cards (in the Occasions Mini) were actual stamps! I love the big medallion bg stamp and would love smaller versions of it.

I thought the same thing! I would love to have varying sizes of the Medallion.

No offense taken at all! It is funny how all of the companies work so different. I know that we don't get to see the ads for black friday until a couple of days before, but you can go online way before and get a list for all of the stores. Crazy how it works!

I don't have the big medallion but loved the look of the varying sizes in different colors. That would have been on my wish list for sure if that was a set.

Not if you live on the wescoast in Canada. I live in Victoria (Ferry ride away from Vancouver and Seattle) on Vancouver Island and it rarely gets cold here. We also get snow about once a year. ;)

and it is a beautiful place, in addition to a great climate!

Yup, I had to put pic of my face (not my view from behind, even when walking on the Waikiki beach during sunset) since I joined the dirt pile

That caught my eye too. I plan to recreate that card with the Medallion Digital download for My Digital Studio. If I remember right, it is $1.95 and can be resized to any size.

Write in to SU! and tell them that. Companies don't know customers have an interest in something if we never tell them.

Also the cupcake punch and big circle punch!
