will all the previous disks that I purchased run off the mds 2+? I've noticed that if you purchase the new disks they offer, it does not work on the old software.

I just called demo support to find the answer to this question. I am told that yes- the disk's will work. If you still have the old software- you may need to upgrade but the disk's should work.

Yet more questions...can other digital content be used with this program or only SU products? And, even if this is a download, would it count towards hostess goals or shipping costs if one wants to buy other items?

You can use digital content from other designers. I was using the stuff I designed myself in the trial version just to test it out.
