Default made my own canvas!

Since I never did get to ordering that Canvas stamp yet.... I took the plastic mesh off of my bag of oranges and put it on a piece of cardstock and took and open stamp pad and squashed it all over the page, then I took the plastic mesh and turned it over on another sheet of paper and rubbed it on the paper and it looks pretty good - the first paper has a bunch of cute little squares all over and the one I rubbed looks like canvas.
*note - the usual bags I get produce in are diamond shape, this orange back has the plastic with the square of mesh on the front that is in squares - hopefully that makes sense!!!

I have Canvas and LOVE it, but I always like a new idea -- especially ones that use items I have. I'll have to try it. Thanks!!

Cool idea! Can you post a picture of the results?

I love innovative, think-outside-the-box, tips like this! Upload your card if you can so that we can all see it .

That sounds like a really cool idea.
Did you know you can still get the Canvas stamp?

Default background

Good idea! I tried something else. I had an old plastic place mat - the kind of thick kind that is shiny on the front (top) and a sort of foam on the back. I cut a piece that is smaller than the stamp pad, and use it as a background stamp. Works bettter without too much ink. Looks a bit like the canvas. Maybe this will work for someone.
