WoW... I am so disappointed. I have a Mac and we just did the OS X Lion update. It deleted ALL of my RSS Feeds. ALL OF THEM!!!!!
AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!! I just want to scream !!! So all of the great blogs I have subscribed to I am no longer subscribed. After doing some reading up on this, Safari and Lion decided to no longer support RSS ATOM feeds.
So for those who have a blog, please make sure you have a subscribe button for people to add an email address. Otherwise, Mac users will not be able to subscribe to your blog.
I hope you don't mind, but I am going to recommend google reader vs. subscribing via email update. Google Reader is so simple to use, and let's you see all of the blogs you follow on one single page each day, scrolling from one to the other without reloading the page. In fact, you don't even have to scroll from one page to the next, you can simply look at all updates and then hit the space bar and it will scroll for you. It's so easy.
I have subscribed to google reader for those that do not have a subscribe button, the problem is, I have to start from scratch again. I can't remember all of the blog names. This is horrible!!!! Why didn't they say this was going to be in the update!?!??!?!
That's awful! Thanks for the warning. Can you go into time machine and retrieve the info? It is supposed to keep a record of all those things. I changed to google reader last year and like it better than having my mailbox full of blogs. I hope you can go into time machine (before you did the update) and find the addresses.
I am a MAC user and had trouble trying to use RSS feeds for a long time. I upgraded like you do, and now subscribe to blogs via email, facebook, or twitter...mostly email. Email is easy for me as they all go in one place.
Unfortunately, Mac has disabled the Post Atoms or RSS Feeds from both mail and Safari, which is the internet. I downloaded a "fix" and of course it did not fix it. So I'm starting over again... ugh!!!
Mac Users, help! I just purchased the Silhouette Cameo which is supposed to be Mac compatible. But when I put the software disc in my cd player, it ejects the disc and I am unable to use my new software. Did anyone have this problem?
I have a MAC and I prefer to use Firefox for my web browser. I'm wondering if that would make a difference with the update and you losing all your blog feeds. I love all my MAC toys but I have never quite been in love with Safari. I know that doesn't help your immediate problem but, thought I'd just throw that in there.
For those who are trying to recreate their blog listing...does your internet browsing history remain intact on Safari with the updates? You would be able to go back through and see which blogs you have visited.

I have a Cameo and Mac and I never had a problem with my Silhouette . I have a 7 year old Mac with only 4GB memory and I am currently running Snow Leopard.
You may have a problem with your disc drive. Is your disc drive a slide in style or a tray? I have the slide in style that is located in the side of the monitor/computer . I have had a few issues with that disc drive and I suspect I am not alone. Apple is no longer building the CD/DVD disc drive into the computers. When people buy a new Mac the need to buy a stand alone disc recorder/player.
I suggest you download the software you need from the Silhouette site and contact Apple support or the Mac forum for additional ideas to correct the disc problem
