I'm interested in this information as well. Also, when you see all those pretty cards made using the "fern" punch or "leaf" punch, what size are those? Are they the medium punches or the large punch?
Don't mean to highjack your thread, Sharon, but I thought that the same people who knew WHERE to buy MS punches might now the answer to both questions.
You can google and many places to buy will come up. Then check and usually they will describe it. I am getting at the point with gas prices are so high I will be ordering more on line and still save money. Good luck.
Martha Stewart's fern punch (like a Christmas wreath branch) is considered a "medium" punch. The punched piece measures approximately 1 1/8" in length and is about 3/4" wide.
Other than Michael's (with a coupon) I don't know any good places to get Martha Stewarts stamps--at least not without paying a premium price and shipping charges.
If I had to buy online, I'd probably choose Frantic Stamper as my go-to store for MS punches. Martha Stewart Crafts
So far I've had two sources tell me that the punches used are considered "medium" size MS punches. Also, they are called "fern" or "branch" or "leaf." I think the one I'm most interested in is the "fern."
Joann's sells her stuff. Personally, I would never buy one of her punches on line because the couple that I have bought at Michael's I had to return as they wouldn't work right.

Wonderful. *sigh* What was wrong with them? Did you exchange or just return? Is this a common occurrence with her items?

I have many, many Martha punches and love them all. I've seen the comments about them not working on heavier cardstock, and I'm sure that is probably true.
I don't use the heavier cardstock like Bazzil, or SU so I've never had a problem with any of my punches.
I make all my cards with a white cardstock base, and then adhere card fronts. I can then use cardstock of any kind I like for the card front, and have a sturdy card. I don't feel I have to have the heavier, more expensive brands since they are going to be attached to the card base anyway.
For solid colors, I love the Recollections brand that Michaels carries. For patterns, anything goes if I like the design.
The Martha punches work very well I think when you are using a paper that is not too heavy.

Sorry to report my experience was similar to armadillo. Basic shapes were fine, but anything that was intricate, like the eyelet border punch or the lattice heart punch were always jamming. And getting the tiny pieces out of the punch itself was a pain. More time spent trying to deal with inferior punches when I could have been finishing cards. Over the last year I've probably returned 3 or 4 MS punches to Michael's, and vowed NOT to buy again. I've seen MS products in Big Lots, Marshalls, and Ross if you are near those. Of course there won't be a large variety but the price is better than J's or M's. Good luck.

Really I am just lusting after two of her punches. LOL. That would be the medium size "fern" looking one and the "branch" looking one. I want to use them with my flowers on cards. I've seen cards in the Gallery that used both of these and they are so pretty. The wreaths that people make with that fern one are just beautiful. I'm not interested in her border/corner combos or anything like that. Just those two. I bought a Sizzix branch die and use that with my flowers now, but when I tried to not glue it down flat, it just didn't seem to give me the effect that those other cards had when I saw the ferns used in profusion! That's why I'm looking at those punches.
YES, I wondered about her association with EK Success because whenever you look up MS online, the results would include EK Success punches as well. I have one EK that I've bought at Hobby Lobby with a 40% off coupon and two that I found at JoAnn's in the Clearance aisle. And, those EK's work great. Go figure.
There were MS punches at the local TJ Maxx store this summer for $3.99 and I about croaked. It was my first time out in ages and a lady had her shooping cart in front of them and not moving. I tried, "Excuse me," but that didn't work. LOL. I was failing fast so I just left and found my daughter to take me home. LOL. Last time I was shopping.
This is was off topic, but you know there is just something about being able to go out and TOUCH and FEEL the items you want to buy VS. shopping online. I know that if you've seen what you want elsewhere, getting a good deal online is the way to go. I just bought a little Cricut portable 12" cutter for $4.98 and a pack of two replacement blades for $1.75 online. They were delivered today. I'm as happy as a kid at Christmas!
I'm like Bugga. I use the cheapest paper available. I just started using Georgia Pacific white from Wal-mart when I saw it suggested on this site. That's a nice heavy paper. I used birthday money and Christmas money to place two different orders from a Stampin Up demo on this site. She is an amazingly sweet gal and so patient with my questions. When she found out that I had never used Stampin Up paper, she sent me a care package with paper and stamped images and ribbon and buttons. I couldn't believe it. I can sure see the difference in that paper and the stuff I buy at JoAnn's and Hobby Lobby when it's half price.

Thanks so much.

think there are assorted sizes but the ones I use (a lot) are MS punches and they are fairly small or maybe medium.
atjoansgardens.com carry a lot different companies and at a fair price. I have several dies from her. I get my MS punches at Michaels with coupons though.
