Help Needed (Rated PG--Sassy Card Idea) :)

Hi all!

Okay, last year I saw the funniest saying for a Valentine card...I can't remember if it was on here or if it was on a regular store-bought card, but I want to make one for my DH for Valentine's day. The outside of the card had a Knight on it and it said (on the outside): You are my Knight in Shining Armor

When you open it up, it said, "and I like your Lance-A-Lot"

Tee hee...get it? Anyway, I printed out some free clip art of a knight riding on a horse for the outside and a knight just standing there for the inside, and I want the knight's sword to pop up when you open the card (that's where the PG rating of this thread comes in...haha!)

I have no idea how to make a pop-up of just one element like that. Does anyone have a good tutorial saved?

Maybe it should be at least PG-13!!! LOL, but that's funny; I think a Windshield Wiper card would do the trick! I know Jantink did a tutorial on this; let me go check the Resouces!

I didn't find it under Resources but did a gallery search for 'wiper' and found Jan's card with a link to her blog; I think you could (as Tim Gunn would say) 'Make it Work'!!!

If you have some strong jewelry wire, can you coil up a section around a pencil to make a spring? One of my kids got a store bought birthday card once and it had something spring out like that so when I threw away the card, I peeled it off and used it on a candle to spring out at my husband.

I'm sure he would've much preferred a card like this!! :shock:
