I too love seeing other people adore their pets like family. I have 3 kids and one fur kid! I treat her and worry about her just as much as my kids and hubby. I think it is wonderful that their are so many big hearted people that realize pets have feelings too (sorry if this is a little too deep for the question. I just love all kinds of pets/animals).
I've noticed this before. I've always had a fur-baby until a few years ago. Since we move back and forth between NC and FL every six months, it's hard to handle that so I just love everyone else's. Sooooo, pet your fur baby for me.
I have two fur baby cats, Tingha and Tucker. They are both rescue cats that lived on the streets before being rescued.
My avatar is my favourite pic of my youngest fur baby Tingha. He is a sweet boy who loves his mum dearly. He often visits me in my craft room and 'helps'. He comes to bed with me every night for a tummy rub.
When we frst got the two cats Tingha was still very used to fending for himself food wise so he was a great forager and would bring me gifts of bones and bits of meat etc. But my most favourite gift was half a buttered crumpet laid lovingly at my feet!
Tucker is very dark grey with white bits - he has a black smudge on his pink nose and his grey tail has a white tip - he is not so handsome as Tingha but he has the most adorable purr - so deep, loud and rhythmic. You can't fail to relax when you hear it.
I love my babies! We have one cat (pictured) and three dogs, a black Lab, an Australian Shepherd and a Borzoi. Our lab is actually really sick right now, she's getting old and having lots of health problems hit her all at once, I'm worried we're going to loose her soon:(
I have two that I love to death. One pure Westie and the other half Westie that my friend found abandoned and I adopted. Will put in my avatar when I have time to figure out how to do it. I tried once but guess my picture was too big.
I love my furkids too! The cat on my avatar is "Shadow." He is gone now but was my buddy for 18 years. My husband and I don't have children but our two dogs are pretty spoiled!
I have a Shih tzu mix and he is a doll. It doesn't seem possible that he will be four this December. My DH really wanted a black lab, but the little guy is soo loveable that he has wormed his way into our hearts and is my third child. I would be devistated to have anything happen to him! It was hard enough finding out that his brother was hit by a car a couple of months ago. Sure do miss the little guy...
WE just got a puppy! 2 weeks ago. Our first ever, it just kinda happened. He is a pure bred Jack Russell. The kids love him, I am exhausted and clueless on what we are doing. So far dh and I are on the same page as far as training is going right now.
I love my fur babies! We have two dogs, Sasha (my avatar) and Heather, four cats, Elle, Felix, Nikko, and Sally, and two guinea pigs, Greta and Gidget.
I have 3 miniature schnauzers. Gohan is black and looks kinda like a babbon when he's looking up at you. Ziggy is silver and cream and definitly the alfa dog, and Murphy is white and the sweetest thing! He's also the biggest of all 3 so we call him Moose!! I LOVE my furry kids!

I love my fur babies. I have all rescues. My Chihuahua is named Chiclet, my 4 cats, Lily, Scully, Freeloader (Freebie), and my baby Rocky (my avatar). I have an outside cat (her choice, not mine), Skinny, and a turtle named Bebe. I have been feeding a stray cat since last winter ( I call her Puma!) and she still hisses at me but she will stand by me now. Over the weekend I discovered her little house under my bush and her 3 kittens. I have to tame her and them so I can have her spayed, and find the kittens a place to go. I refuse to contribute to stray cats populations but she's a tough one to come around. Everybody's babies are soooo cute.
I got my hound dog Sadie from the pound. My avatar is of a squish cow though because I like cows too!

I'm new here but I too have furbabies that I love. I am owned by 4 poodles and a very dorky Yorkie. I have Riley (was 15 on Jun 20th) who is a red male toy poodle; next is Charity (will be 5 Aug 1st) who is a female apricot toy poodle; then I have Xander (was 3 on March 17th) who is a white male toy poodle; Carson (was 2 on Dec 26th) is my male Yorkie and then there is the baby, Archer (2-today Jun 23rd) who is a champagne tea-cup poodle. My little Carson is recovering from surgery that he had on Thursday but he is doing well. My Riley is in my avatar photo on the Cricut MB. I haven't quite gotten that far here yet. I love my furbabies so much. I also have a 13 year old human DD that, for all intent purposes, considers them her brothers and sister.
I have two fur babies. They are my cats, 4 YO Buddy, and 2 YO Sugar.
Buddy is laid back and very little (except loud thunder!) seems to bother him & Sugar is my very vocal, hyper little girl. It seems she has a lot to day and she cannot sit still!

Oh my goodness this broke my heart when I read it. I am so sorry for your loss. My beautiful dog is now 10 years old and it saddens me to think that she can't live 80 years like a human can. I know whenever the time comes I will not be ready to say good bye. I will say an extra prayer for you and your family.

So sorry to hear about your loss. Aren't dogs just the greatest? They really do bring so much joy into our lives. I always say, "Who needs kids? My dog is more entertaining."
