Default Good news for messy Stampers!

Here's a day brightener for those of us who battle the messy table-top in our stamp area. Creative geniuses, who knew?!

Messy desks could be a sign of genius, say researchers | The Independent

I'm outta here. Gotta go and appreciate the chaotic mess in my stamp room!

I have noticed that geniuses have trouble staying on topic in discussions and lectures. I take some hope in that LOL

I have a little plaque on my desk that I brought from my office when I retired:

"If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, one cannot help wondering what is indicated by an empty desk."

For many years when I was out in the workforce, I had a sign on my desk that said "A messy desk is a sign of genius."

Thx for letting me know I'm not alone. After most projects I tidy up but the messiness returns rather quickly when creating again. But I love it. Who knew a genius huh? You all made my day.

I admit, the Mom Cave can get pretty bad. But oh, I absolutely love it when it looks like it does now...the floor is clean the desk top has lots of real estate for work, stamps are out away, and my other work surfaces are organized and neat. Makes my heart happy to walk in and sit down when that's the case. I do pretty well at keeping it that way - maybe 50% of the time. Then it gets out of control until I have to just take a day or two and wrestle it back!

I love how the space on my desk to work keeps getting smaller and smaller and smaller! I think I have a 6x6 clear space on my desk right now....I just dropped off some stuff in the craft room I just bought and had to put it on my desk chair. Now I hope I don't sit on it when I go in to create next!

The creating time does take space so it is good to clear it off when we can after a major project! Or several small ones!

This past week I redid parts of my craft room. I figured out a way to use a small table I have to be able to spread out a bit more and make more room on my desk.

You should have seen me go! I moved a lot of things, regrouped things to be able to find them easier and bought a couple of new bins for paper pads. I couldn't wait to start creating.

I sat down at my desk and realized I now have less room than I had before!! What happened? I spread out but the one thing I wanted to do, didn't get done anyway, plus now I have to reach to get at things that were closer before and I forgot where I put a few things and will have to look for them. wah.

Laughing...so been there, done that! When I get going....it can get really bad in the Cave! And I admit to nearly sitting on things I've had to drop on the chair!!!
