Glossy color fades

How do you keep glossy cardstock color from fading? Mine looks so great right after stamping, but in a day or two the color has faded considerably.

I have never tried the glossy cardstock. I don't know if I would like it or not. Good luck. I hope you find an answer.

That is an unfortunate problem with glossy. You might try spraying it with a fixative and see if that helps with the fading. That's kind of a pain in the you know what, though.

I have noticed that - I haven't found a solution, but I have noticed that when I stamp first and then emboss over it with clear EP (like for Joseph's Coat or Emboss Resist techniques), the color stays much brighter. I guess that's not a good solution for all of your stamping, but I pretty much just use glossy paper for those techniques and regular matte cardstock for regular stamping.

This is from Rubberstampinfo - Card for the day website-

Random Stamping Tip
Glossy & Markers: When working on glossy paper, "color" with your clean blender pen first then go back and add color. It will be easier to blend.

One thing I sometimes do, is purposely choose a darker colour palette. Let's say you wanted pastels, go one step up. This only works when pastels are desired look, not so much with the brighter colours. I also really layer on the coats when I'm sponging or brayering colour onto the glossy paper.

This is the stamping tip I had intended to post from The Rubberstampinfo-Card for the day website-
Random Stamping Tip
A neat trick to keep glossy card stock vibrant is to hit it with a sealer like Krylon. You can also go back and hit a card that you did already and watch the colors pop out at you.
