My favorite company in general for sentiments is Papertrey Ink. Unfortunately, they have gotten some bad press lately, but regardless, they are my favorite for sentiments! Oh, I also like Verve's offerings. Generally I am not a HUGE fan of clear stamps, but I LOVE them for my sentiments.

Now that I have a Big Shot, I want some sentiments so I can stamp them in nestibility shapes
For now, I'd like a set that has general phrases, like Happy Birthday, Get Well, Thank You etc.
I'm going to the Rubber Stamp and Scrapbook show in Columbia tomorrow, so I plan to keep my eye out for one. I'm approaching the limit of my monthly budget though :(

This is one of my favorite basic sentiment sets by Hero Arts. I use it a lot. It's at Overstock today with $1 shipping:

I vote for the Hero one that Bugga mentioned - it, and another Hero one of birthday sentiments live permanently on my desk as I use them so often.

The first picture attached is Essential Sentiments. There are a few everyday ones and then it covers major holidays and occasions. Nice variety of fonts, too.
A Muse has a few sentiment-centered sets with pretty self-descriptive titles: Graceful Greetings, Contemporary Greetings, and Hand-Scripted. Then there are the other two attached: Say it With Style that has a coordinating die set, and Family Sentiments. I don't have those two - but I'm tempted .

Now I have some! I bought two sets the Rubber Stamp show and they were ON SALE for 4.99 each. One is a Spellbinders set called Just Because and it has 18 sentiments. The other one is from Inkadinkado and has 14 sentiments. Between the two sets I have most of the basics covered, thank you, happy birthday, new baby etc.

I have to chime in here with mine! I use CC Designs Amy R sentiment sets all the time! Find them at All That Scraps.com! The best price for 'real' rubber stamps and the sets work together so great! Sentiments that match for the card front and insides! Christine the store owner and illustrator has a line of saying and sentiments, in the store HERE... super cute logos and sayings! Another awesome thing is Christine has free ship when you order $40! Check them out at the store and see them used on my blog!

Someone up there ^^^^ said Crafty Secrets - I have to agree, they have some great sentiments.
And I can't find it but I saw in my email that someone else said they have one, "Count the happies" -- that's terrific!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my essential sentiments set! Don't regret that purchase at all! Love Contemporary Greetings by them also! (there's another one too but can't think of it). Friend to Friend has some great simple sentiments in a beautiful script and has some line images with it! LOVE LOVE LOVE that set.
I also use a lot of Paper and Such sets- they have great sets: www.paperandsuchonline.com
I have used several in my most recent uploads.

At the stamp show yesterday I saw these from Rubber Cottage:
Life may not be the party the we hoped for...
but while we are here, we might as well dance.
Just where the hell IS Easy Street?
I wish we could sit down together and have a cup of tea
But since we can't,
When you have this one
I hope you'll think of me.
Inside me lives a skinny woman
crying to get out.
But I can usually shut the ***** up with cookies.
Women and cats do as they please,
men and dogs should get used to it.
And call me over!
I SO have to get these!!!!

Forgot my favorite one

Find someone with vodka
and have a party.

Hug
I have so many favourites, but the one I love most (and so do the recipients) has to be 'a hug with a fold in the middle'.
Artneko.com - A hug with a fold in the middle...
I'm quite sure this is where I got it from.
makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. xox
