Can you post a picture? Maybe I'm doing it wrong. It all seems to fall off my image when I tap it - unless the image has a large enough surface.
The pictures are too large and my photo editing software is whacked
But are you using versamark embossing ink? That's what I used with my embossing powders.

The versamark embossing pad worked on the solid image. When I try an outline stamp or drawing with my versamark pen - it falls away on the tap.
Hobby Lobby carries them. So does Archiver's. I bought them for about 1/2 price on-line. I'm just disappointed that they're as coarse as they are. I'm a detail embosser most of the time.
While at Archiver's I had one of the gals bring their "demo" zing out. It was a metallic that worked just fine. I hope next time I go that they also have opened a bottle of the opaque.
I bought some Zing ep when Addicted to Rubber had their 20% sale. I'm still trying new techniques and when I ordered I just looked at colors and upon receiving them I saw glitter, opaque and one metallic. I used the glitter and it was okay. Covered some of the heart outline better in some places. I don't know the difference in the three styles, so can anyone explain (besides glitter, I get that one ) And. . . Is VersaMark okay to use on all three?
The coarser the embossing powder - the more uneven the coverage. Metallic seems to tend to work well in any case. And, yes, Versamark will be fine with all of them.
It looks like I bought 1 metallic, 1 opaque and 3 fluorescent. I'll check when I get home. It's the flourescent that's coarser than I expected.
Thanks, I never thought of asking if there were different EPs Thanks to all of my questions being answered by many of you, I'm not being such a horder and actually am making cards and I am loving it. Talk about stress relief.
There us also an ultra thick. One of the uses is to multi layer it (heat emboss a few times) and stamp it. I know what you're thinking ... WHOA! Gonna burn my stamp! Go look in resources. It's kinda cool.
Mostly there's fine (and extra fine) embossing powder. Stamp with versamark or a really juicy ink and emboss the fine detail. These seem to come in gold (metallics?), clear and black. Coarser ones can be used to fill in areas. Then the UTEP (ultra thick embossing powder). Got it? Practice practice practice! Remember - those that can - do. Those that can't .... like me ... post
Take a look at kwernerdesign.com under Finally Friday, for Feb 27th she shows the Cricket colour with a beautiful butterfly stamp from Inkadinkado. It makes me want some of these colours bad!!
Thank you Billie I didn't realize you could layer embossing I'm going to try that this week and see what happens. Was trying yesterday to use metallic EP on a card when the phone rang - got up to answer the phone (and yes, laid the card on my seat) when I sat down couldn't find my card . . . hmmmm Smudged that EP all over my card Gave up Will try again.
I saw a Video Tutorial on "Zing" and she suggested that you actually heat the embossing posder from the underside of the paper, this will prevent any loose powder from blowing, etc... Plus it was really easy to watch the powder change .. LOL Any little things like that make me smile, I am easily amused !!
Here is the link to the video about "Zing" It's about a 1/3 of the way down...

Two Peas in a Bucket has the Zing embossing powders, too... I've seen them at Archiver's and Hobby Lobby. I bought the vanilla opaque powder at HL yesterday but haven't tried it yet.
Blue Moon Scrapbooking has a lot of them, and free shipping over $50, plus....right now they have 20% off of everything! They have the best cust. service, too. You won't be disappointed. Tell Scott that Angie sent you...he's incredible, will even call your house to make sure your order is good! :p

Thanks for all the Zing info....I knew I could find a thread here about it! You guys are great!
Do you think American Crafts made the vanilla Zing EP just for Hobby Lobby? I posted about it in an earlier post in this thread... I haven't seen the vanilla EP anywhere else other than HL, and it isn't listed on the American Crafts website. Hmmm...
