I am Southern. I know that Bless Your Heart Southern sarcastic tone. Southerner's have two versions of Bless Your Heart. A good Southern girl knows both.
<snicker> I also know how to say "Well, how nice!"
Glad I'm not the only one to think some Tim Holtz stuff is bizarre, I see tags and cards made with them and they look great but think, who on earth would I send them to!
But saying that I think he is really talented and love watching his videos, love distressing inks although I'm not a stamper, use my big shot all the time, and really enjoy decoupage, but don't buy ready made ones, I use my cricut for that.
I love flowers, butterflies and snowflakes and love oval shaped dies.
I know they just starting coming out, but I am already over chevrons.
I am too, lol. I don't know why that design bugs me so much. I am usually a geometric fan.
Tim's new line of hardware items makes me laugh. I am telling you girls when it starts hitting the stores I bet our DH's will be buying it. Doesn't matter if they can get it at Harbor Freight, lol. I know my DH loves Tim's stuff and is always buying bits and bobs. I am like "Can't you get that at Harbor Freight?" He just looks at me like an injured puppy. Even though our men won't admit it they fall for the cool stuff too. Tim knows this, lol.

That punch is on my Wish List. I can't wait to get one. I am envious of your son, in a good way.
toilets all with crowns on them (ok maybe not toilets, I made that one up but its probably just a matter of time lol)
:p LOL!!
I am right with you on all of that!! And...I'm not a big fan of the angel wings either. When you mentioned the crown I thought of the wings and all of it just eludes me.

I was at the Dollar Tree Friday. In the school supply section was chevron. I got dizzy looking at that shelf. I realized why I am so over Chevron. It makes me dizzy. !
Chevrons make me dizzy too. If they are used in small amounts I can deal with them. I haven't used one yet on my work though. Such a fun hobby as there is something for everyone. My hubby don't get the Tim Holtz stuff..I am the one in my family. When he uses my stuff on a whim, I find he uses the cutesy stuff. It is very sweet. He made my b-day card using Crafty Secrets little girl.
So Winnie your husband makes your cards, I'm so impressed, my DH doesn't have much interest, I show him And he says thats nice, he once jokingly asked me to make a card for him, so he could give it to me. Won't repeat what I said!,

My lot always threaten to blindfold me to make myself a card from them?!:p
I can't say I'm "over" anything.. but there are a few things I never liked to begin with-- Grunge/shabby chic, vintage, the sewing theme.. I mean I know very few people who actually sew, so I can't imagine who would appreciate a card with sewing machines and stuff on it.
But on the other hand, most of what y'all are tired of, I think I will always love, including owls, birds, flowers, butterflies, etc. Someone else made a perfect point-- If you buy it because YOU like it, you'll use it. If you buy it because everyone else did and you don't want to be left out, you'll get tired of it.
Sometimes it seems like I'm the only one who doesn't get things like this. It's nice to know there is someone else that doesn't like them.
I love bird cages but I know what you mean. I think there are supposed to be birds in them, lol. I get all upset when people put fairies in bird cages. What did the fairies do? Why are they in jail?
I fell in love with Tim's bird cage die when it first came out. I knew I hardly would ever use it. When I usually make a bird cage creation my birds are not in it. Birds like to get out of jail too.
My 5 year old niece loves Tim's birdcage and bird die. She wants the bird in the cage as she says....Wants it locked up..She is funny, no fuzziness, sweet side to her yet. I let her make tags with me and everything is behind bars...maybe because her dad is a policeman..ha ha ha. The sister, loves soft, girly images, and pink, pink pink.
i've loved birds forever. my daughter is veryl slight and since childhood her nickname has been birdie, so she has a love of birds. i have the tim holtz die and use it often. i used it as a package topper on a gift, with vines and some paper flowers and my girlfriend saved it and framed it! i thought that was a bit weird, but flattering. i wouldnt put fairies in the cage but those big eyed, big headed child stamps, they look crazed enough to be locked up!
