I'm ready and know people will be so excited to see the new Dirty Girls. Remember how exciting it was when we were revealed, Toni?

Oh the distractions of life! The July theme was so much fun to work with and the DDs have created some beauties.

Yes, this theme was fun. But summer break is almost over for me. We start back to work the first of August.

Just a squirrel teasing him. You'd think he'd never seen a squirrel before. This one must be extra good at teasing.

The squirrels and my dog have a game they play. My dog catches them, tosses them in the air and then lets them escape. Poor Romeo, he is a lover not a fighter.

My guys went back to school early August too. Very different from where I grew up. We went back in September.

haha... I don't think they've ever caught one. Gumbo is quick enough but I think he likes the chase more than the catching. Spud is short legged and chubby so he's not quick enough to catch anything.

Amy, it's so interesting the difference in school schedules between areas. School stopped the 3rd week of June and restarts August 30th.

We also get a week Fall break in October, a week for Thanksgiving, 2 weeks at Christmas and a week in March for Spring Break. We usually get out around May 20th

It's all pretty in there though... trust me.

I think it's better for the kids and staff to spread out the breaks. Plus, there's the whole "my brain fell out over summer" problem! I drove my kids nuts by giving them homework during the summer.

I feel sorry for the working parents with all those breaks though. Must be harder to organize schedules.

If I remember correctly (it's been a while) we would get a Spring Break and a couple weeks at Christmas and a few 3 day holiday things and that was it. When my boys were in school it seemed like after Christmas there was a break of some kind almost every month until school got out in May.

Well in the Favorites, I see an octopus, a beautiful sunset, a few birds, some flowers, vehicles, a tail and some shells.
Lots of options with those images!

How hot is it where you girls are? It's a balmy mid 90's here and it's supposed to be over 100 in the next few days.

Just popping in to say hi! I need to take my 2 "little boys" to camp soon (we still call them that, but they're 12 and 14 now and really not little!). Congratulations, new Dirty Girls!

Hi ladies. It's 94 degrees here on the east coast. I'm staying inside where it's nice and cool. Even the pup doesn't want to be out.

Oh, I'd forgotten about them! It's just too hot for no shade on the beach for this old chick.

I'm about done with summer this year. I spend half my day checking on the duck and chicken waters. I'm ready for Fall to arrive.

Carla, 90s sounds like a cool front to me. Our heat index is supposed to be 105 today. That is just too hot when it's not even August yet.
