Karen,
I didn't know about Claire's. I will check it out soon. I would love to try the convention, too. Looks like a busy summer ahead!

Andrew,
Has CTMH not started a consultant program in the UK yet? Maybe you should suggest it to Jeanette?! You'd be the best spokeperson!

Kathy i did ask by sending a email last year to CTMH, but i think moving into Europe is a big step and with the economy like it is, i would not want to plough money into a new market never mind CTMH.
At the moment i am very happy getting my things when i can and for my group, looking forward to the first workshop on the 25th feb we are doing theTwitterpated WOTG, lovely kit and lovely colours . I must admit i do like the chocolate and sweet leaf which CTMH make in their colours of card and ink and ribbon. I have been working on the start of the workshop, still more samples to make but happy so far with what i have created with this cute set. The hedgehog needs a good seasoning or like i say primeing with ink, then it stamps lovely and clear, i then add a little detail to the eye, nose and feet with watercolour pencils it makes the hedgehog more real.

I am looking for a CTMH consultant to work with, they do not have to be from my area. I like to order from the website and I have done so a few times. My problem is that she has only acknowledge my first purchase and has not attempted to follow-up with any other information or just to check in to see if I am enjoying my pruchase. If a consultant is interested please let me know. THANKS!

Can't wait to see your pages ;)

I put both "CTMH, Close To My Heart" in the key words section when uploading. Your pages will show in the gallery

Last month i said i would like to start posting on thiS CTMH thread a regular slot on cardmaking layouts featuring colours and card instructions but with a twist you dont see a pictorial guide to copy from.
last month Cindy and Lela both posted in the gallery many thanks for your creations are you ready for another card Layout, then here goes.

6x6 CTMH colonial white cardstock prescored to make the card base
5 1/4 x 4 Garden Green panel
4 1/2 x 3 1/2 Cocoa panel
4 x 3 colonial White panel sponge the edges of this panel lightly with cocoa ink
Accent your main focal point image with a little liquid glass when stampin on the panel above.

use Cocoa And Garden Green ink only, and use any CTMH stamp set of your choice.
Use cocoa and colonial white ribbon and any 3 brads to embellish the card.
Make sure some random stampin is done on the colonial white base card this could be with the cocoa or garden Green or a mix of both colours , use a small stamp for this.
Simply follow the size layers and PLEASE post your creations in the galleries CTMH or members galeries and post a link from this thread to show your creations.
Have fun
Regards Andrew

I tried printing photos last ngiht but I eneded over 60 to finish the album, and of course they had to be resized AND covnerted to B&W...I go tthem opicked, but not sized. If I have time I will take photos of the "empty" layouts when I get home today. We're off to visit the in-laws for a few days, so if you don't hear from me that's why...I didn't bail!! I do have one day of vacation left when we get back so will opst then if I don't do it today. Fari enough?

Wow! just looking at all the wonderful things about CTMH, my daughter is a SU demo, she is has been looking into CTMH. I will have to show her this thread. She already called SU to ask a few questions about resigning.

I really enjoyed reading Andrews posts. I am very impressed!

WELCOME Kathy!!! :o)

The snow has taken a toll on me....had to go to work regardless of the snow and had to shovel the car...etc. Needless to say the driving here in Philly area has been just awful. The news just said that we are in for MORE early in the week....AHHHH...If it doesn't stop soon, maybe I'll try running naked down Interstate 95 to scare the snow gods away... :o)

Anyway, have another busy day today. I hope to get back to my card making very soon.

Thanks for the challenges Lela and Andrew....will give them a shot as soon as I can! Thank you too for all who participated in my challenges....I will get more up soon. There are so many talented people! :o)

Hi Everyone - I can't wait to try out your latest challenge Andrew....but alas, I must unexpectedly work tomorrow so it will have to wait until Tuesday. I shall let you know when I finish.

I am really liking these CTMH challenges. It is really helping me grow and sharpen my skills. I hope that we keep them going!

BTW - anyone still interested in the Hearts for Haiti Textured Cardstock Campaign, I wanted to let it be known that the supplies are running low. What a wonderful way to stock up on cardstock and help the earthquake victims. I heard on the news yesterday that the donations are dropping off and the need is still so great.

Have a wonderful day everyone,
Cindy

Awesome Kathy, How FUN for you! I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

The "You Rock" pack was not on my "list" the first time around but the more I looked at it, the more it went with teenage son pages. I'm working on another layout with it right now...

Ohhh Cindy...isn't it a bummer that our day job interferes w/ our scrappin' / stamping time? LOL! Yes, and then reality sets in and a I realize I wouldn't get to play with all these goodies if I didn't have a job. I have to work tomorrow also ... we don't get Presidents Day off either. There's a "Winter Advisory" starting tomorrow for another winter storm heading our way...ugh.

Anyway, I have today to play so I'm off to scrap. I'll be back with something to share hopefully!

Thanks to Lela for making the 2 cards with the card layout challenge glad you incorporated the tin foil and pigment ink technique very clever and they turned out great the tweet one is my favourite card no 1.

Kathy you shall have to try the technique out and if you like, try the card layout instructions are on this page you can use whatever CTMH stamp set its nice to see different ways of making one card. i bet you cannot wait to get your consultant kit not long to wait now. In the kit Kathy i do believe from reading in the catty you get a Cocoa inkpad and a garden Green inkpad now now where did i see those two colours mentioned , ah the challenge idid not do it on purpose honest.

Andrew, the "A Tweet" card is my favorite too! As you can see, I got the Tin Foil technique a little better on that one. There's a paper warehouse not too far from my house and they sell 6.25x6.25 envelopes for 6x6 cards. I'm going to get some as these cards are perfect for sending w/ some picts I want to send. I'm going to make a couple more of the "A Tweet" ones :-D

Talking Sharing!

When you get your catty, do you go thru and mark your favorite ideas? I guess that's why they call them "Idea Books". This page is a scraplift from pg 38 of the Autumn/Winter 2009 Book. I used Good Times Paper & Sweet Leaf Connection Gift Item

My B-Day

Default becoming a consultant????

My sister is debating on signing up with either SU! or CTMH. I don't know much about CTMH, and told her I would log on and see what CTMH has to offer. What does it take to sign up? What are the quarterly minimums? discounts? etc? Thanks!

I am not a consultant BUT i can honestly say join up with CTMH they are a wonderful and caring company they help you all the way at been a consultant they genuinely want you to succeed. The minimum i know is $300 dollars a quarter plus you never get fired or like i say kicked out like the other company who have strict gudelines to follow. If you dont reach your quaterly people go onto a junior basic level if you dont meet the minimum. Like i say a consultant would be better to advice you we have some nice friendly ones who post on here regularly, or just read back to 11 posts ago or a new consultant who just joined only 4 posts a go i dont want to give names its up to you if you like to pm these people to try to find out what CTMH is all about.
I would say if you want wonderful coordination , quality products clear visible easy care stamps, unique inkpads, unique programme books plus loads more, go for CTMH sorry i dont want to talk about the other company its a sour subject.
i do hope your sister chooses well and wish her much happiness in all she may do, maybe your sister should get in touch with a consultant it would be easier to comunicate for her.
regards Andrew

Martha,
a CTMH consultants discount is 22%. Quarterly minimums are $300. If you do not meet your quarterly, then you are dropped to a Jr Consultant standing, and receive a 10% discount. You never lose your status unless you resign from the company.

any other questions? I'll try to help.

nothing like that... altho I've heard that a different company does that.

We encourage our new consultants with boards similar to these here at SCS, online classes and other teaching tools.
