Ok...I find it hard to believe that this seller knows nothing about the stamps. I used to be a demo a while back, but now I know I can't access these website photos of the stamps without being one. I also know it can be tempting to make a buck (or $100) off of stuff you are allowed to buy before anyone else...just looks a little fishy.
On the other hand, these are the best photos I have gotten to see of the new stuff coming out!

Reason: removed ebay link
In "my" little world of conspiracy theories it sounds like the delivery guy left a box on a doorstep and someone relieved a demo of it. OR...a disgruntled soon-to-be-ex captured a box before it could be opened and now he's out for some easy cash.
But woe to the person who has bid $20.00 for a pack of paper, an ink pad and a reinker. That's crazy...plus a $6.50 shipping fee...crazy or desperate.

I can't even get people to buy w/ giving away my demo %!! LOL Maybe I should just start sellin' on ebay! JUST KIDDING!
This seller has been selling stamps since October of '06....so there is no reason why she would have limited knowledge of stamps as noted in her listings.
She also recently changed her Ebay location from Marble Falls, TX to Florida. Moving across country is not a process you usually do while dispersing an estate.
And are those packages labeled that they are Hostess Level 1 sets...etc? How would she know....they aren't even listed anywhere online like that.
The photos are what made me think it's a demo with a story....I searched hi and low to find them, and only found one of the buttons on someone's site. Not found on the SU site by a 'civilian'.
Now the 'soon to be ex' comment is quite funny....but would any of your hubbies have clue what NUM means?? Mine would say what number???

the estate thing is fishy in and of itself... I have NEVER had an estate settle that quickly. At most, this deceased demo could have only come to possess these items on July 2nd if she did overnight shipping. So for her to have died and the estate to have gone to settle in 21 days is VERY fishy.
Secondly, the pictures of the items are taken right off the demo website for the "bundle" of In Colors. They've simply been photoshopped and cropped.
Third, she opened up another box in the garage? Highly unlikely...
This happens every time a new catalog is about to come out... someone selling pre-ordered stuff on Ebay. I have formed the opinion that some of the factory workers workers at SU carry really BIG lunch boxes.

Tell me about it, lol. It really makes me wonder if some of the buyers on ebay know that they can just find a demo and not have to pay the inflated prices, lol.

unfortunately it's not just the sneak peek stuff that gets the big bucks, but also the demos who will sell across borders...
I had to cancel over $200 in bids last year when I was told about the updated policy that we couldn't sell retired or anything over borders... not even to Canada which has a catalog almost identical to ours...
Check some of the winning big bids... they're almost always from somewhere other than the USA...
What a joke.. another demo selling off stuff to make a quick buck.. and I say quick.. because the timing of the items listed conveniently end over the weekend while no one is at Stampin' UP! They make themselves look stupid by saying what they do in their listings.. "opened up another box in the garage.. " yeah right.
I did report it to SU because preview items are not allowed to be sold online, they are in the wrong and so is the "demo" they mention selling it for. The pictures are in copyright violation. I hope that SU finds out who it is and sticks it to them good! and if they are a SCS member, I hope that they are reading about this... maybe a conscious they will find and end the listings. okay, done ranting. I can't believe that anyone would be desperate enough or need the new stuff that badly that they'd pay those prices on ebay. I can certainly wait until the new caddy comes out. And reporting it to SU, I'm glad you did, airbornewife, those doing this make it really hard for others trying to sell things on ebay legally. I'm not a demo, but this whole thing really sounds fishy to me also. And I can't believe anyone is that hard up to make an extra buck when they know they can be caught.

me, too. and if you look further up thread, I posted the email address so EVERYONE, demos and customers alike, can report any current (whether preview or not) stuff they suspect is being sold by a demo.
I'm not saying report everything, just the ones that scream that it is a demo... customers are free to do what they will with stuff, but a red flag is usually an unmounted set (except SAB sets, those can and do multiply ;) ) or multiples of items... and of course preview stuff that only a demo can have their hands on...
Okay... I'm not standing up for anyone here so don't yell at me ;) ... BUT... it seems to me that there is only one thing that would make sense that no one could do anything about. A demo preorders, quits SU, and is free to do whatever they want at that point. Isn't that right? It really stinks but it's possible. No one can keep a non-demo from selling anything they own. Just a scenario that would make "sense" - but then does anything current on ebay make sense?!
Ok...if that were true...she knows she is in the right, and can do it...so she would have no reason to make up a story.
I used to be a demo a few years ago, overbought TONS and I quit with the INTENT to clear out some current stuff on Ebay. Yep...I did...and I had every right to do so once I quit.
Now as non-demo...I can sell whatever I want on Ebay if I don't steal photos, etc. Sometimes I do sell a set I bought two months ago, used once and will not use again. I am currently under no obligation to SU.
This is why I find a problem with someone making up a story...I had to quit SU to sell anything current, it's not fair that this person is getting around the system with her unlikely story....and she is confusing buyers who think this is the value of stuff...and demos are getting screwed out of orders because people don't realize they can order and have it shipped right to them.

Usually when someone resigns though, they remain active until the end of the billing cycle they resign in. That is what happened with my downline. She didn't want to wait until the end of the quarter and the additional pending month, so decided to resign immediately. She was told she'd have access until the 10th business day AFTER she resigned.
So if that scenario is true across the board, this demo would STILL be current even if she resigned right after UPS scanned the package as delivered... and she'd STILL be current until the 10th business day of August...
