Kathy do you like a more distressed/realistic woodgrain or do you like a more cartoony/hand-doodled look? For a doodled look, I'd take a look at Market Street Stamps: Woodgrain - Market Street Stamps and the new one from Paper Smooches: Timber
I like the SU one, but the one I bought, after a lot of comparing is the one from StarvingArtistamps.
I find it works very well for water, too, when used sideways .
Thanks, Y'all for the suggestions. After looking at all of them, I think I'm going with Hero Arts...not really wanting a wood backed stamp but, I do like the wood grain pattern on this stamp. Sabrina, I can't find anywhere that states the size of the background stamps on the link you gave. I ask because I've purchased background stamps in the past that weren't a full size to cover an A2 card...didn't like the smaller size.
I have the PTI Background Basics: Woodgrain stamp set. It's clear, and it gives you the option to use one strip or build with three different woodgrain strips. I like it.
I love to use the Distressed Texturz plate that SU used to sell. If you ink it up them emboss, you get a great textured wood grain and it is larger than an A2 card. Here's a card I made with this technique. Not sure if Sizzix still sells this or not, but I love mine!
Gail's beautiful card reminded me that I'm looking for a woodgrain folder or plate. I have the AMuse Studio background stamp, and that's enough for me. But I'd love to add some texture sometimes.

Sabrina, you are a riot. I love how your brain works!
