Well, I actually hate stamping my sentiment inside the card. I slave over the card and feel I am done, but realize I have forgotten about the poor blank inside of the card. For me, it just gets a plain old sentiment stamp, usually before I send it out! I should just finished the card completely! I know lots of you do more with the inside of your cards.
I also still hate setting eyelets. I have found it easier with my Cropadile, but I can never eyeball and get them straight. And I'm too lazy to measure!
What about the rest of you? Or perhaps I am the only stamper with some annoyances about my beloved hobby?
I think the thing I would classify as my least favorite part is actually not seeing the recipient's reaction to the card. I know I usually get the "I loved your card!" thank you either in person or in an email afterwards, but for those who do receive my cards long distance it would be nice to see their faces when they open the envelope. The reaction is more priceless to me than the thank you.
I'm with you ... my least favorite part of making a card is definately the inside. By the time I finish making a miracle on the outside I'm just too pooped to party and do the inside!
For me, I'm bad at picking colors...I always stick with neutral combonations even tho i see tons in the gallery with great colors that I like..just can't seem to come up with any great combos. on my own~!
I hate cutting little detailed things. I hate it!! I will do almost anything to avoid the cutting part! I am also not fond of coloring detailed things either.
I hate when I make a card that I love- I can't get rid of it, but then on the opposite end, if I don't like a card- I'm like, this isn't worth giving to anyone!! So either way, I'm in a bind, lol.
Figuring out measurements, by far. Once I figure out the size of my layers for each thing, making the card is really quite enjoyable. But I totally agonize over every little measurement so it usually takes me HOURS to come up with a prototype for a workshop - and that's even when I'm case-ing something! ARGH!!!!
Just getting started! I worry and fret about what I plan to do for a long time. Need to participate in the challenges more often so that I would at least have a starting point.
i agree with most the inside..DH even said to me you have all these sayings and nothing inside the car...so i put 1 liners like a happy birthday etc... also trying to layer ugh....
I'm bad at choosing colors too. And I can never get the eyelets/brads lined up.
I dislike having to search through my pile of stuff to get the card made! I'm sure better organization would help. Ugh!
I have a tip about getting brads and eyelets lined up. What helps me is to put a pencil mark before punching the hole. That way you can make sure it looks even.
Cutting! LOL....I hate it when my paper is crooked I spend more time trying to making it right I could have made three cards....and I waste pretty paper.
1. I hate to cut out stamps. It seems like such wasted time but a necessary must.
2. Cleaning up the big mess when it gets so bad that I can't find anything. I sometimes find that I am working in about six square inches and that there are more inks all around my table than in my caddy, paint brushes under stuff, several different stamps sets all around, dimensionals under other stuff....you got the picture. I hate wasting time cleaning up when I could be stamping. Sometimes you just have to do it.
Getting a fab idea for a color combination, only to find I don't have enough of one of the colors to do it! Or wanting to add a particular color of ribbon, but I don't have enough of that!
That's why I try to keep a complete stock of everything! Saves so much aggravation. ;)
I hate it when I KNOW I have a certain stamp or embellishment but can't for the life of me figure out where I put it! I swear, I spend more time LOOKING for that one part of the card than I spend on the rest of the process!!
And I also was getting grief from my husband about the blank insides but have started using the computer to print out a sentiment on a blank card BEFORE I even start. It takes a few trials (on just regular white printing paper) to make sure it will print where you want it to but it seems to be worth the time. And since most of my cards are layered, no worries about messing up the one that was printed on.
I agree with so many of the responses that I can't pick which one is best! I do have a tip for the eyelet setters. If you have an order form, use the top to line up eyelets [the part with the holes on the top]. If you're not a demo, just ask your demo, I'm sure she'll have plenty around!
For me it is just plain ol' getting started! I am such a procrastinator! And forget about making a bunch of cards ahead of time. I like making a card for "that" person, kwim? If it's say Spicy's birthday, then I make a card for her. It is just hard for me to send out a card I have made in the past just to have on hand.
For all of you who hate layering, girlfriends get the Perfect Layers from SU! You never have to worry about lining up your layers. I love mine!!

LOL! Me too!! And sometimes that big mess comes after making only ONE card!!
Regarding the inside of the card...don't you just hate it when you have this beauty of a card and then the stamp inside is a just a little askew!!! Should you leave it in all it's home-made glory or cover it with another piece of cs and do it again??
Definitely gluing stuff together. Can't get pieces straight,or glue seeps out of the edge, or globs up and makes a little bump or wrinkle on the paper. I have been using Scotch brand glue stick lately and it is my favorite bonding material. Goes on so smoothly and dries nicely. Still don't like gluing tho'.

I agree with cleaning. Once i'm finished i'm usually too tired to clean up- plus I'd rather do something else, like sit and stare at the pretty card I just made
I was the worst at color co-ordination until I got the SU ColorCoach. Ladies if you can't co-ordinate your colors you have to get one. Also, I finally learned it is 100 % easier if you have SU paper and ink, everything goes together. A real time saver for me.
Layouts I can sit forever looking at the paper and just can't decide what to do with it. Even if I've printed off ideas from the computer. Mostly because I don't want to case it but then I don't know what to change it to.
Not having enough space to stamp. My space keeps getting smaller as I stamp, with everything I use getting put beside me. Then I can't find anything.
Plus most everything that everyone else has said.
Sorry, got long winded.

Putting my stamp on the back. I don't know why, but I always seem to forget, then I have to drag everything back out again, and if it's dark cardstock, I have to use craft white, then i have to wait for it to dry...sheesh
Oh, yeah, I have to add, putting that stamp on the back. I hate that. I always forget. Why don't I just do it as I am starting the card. DUH!!!
Yup, cutting for masking. Hate it. Or just plain cutting to paste the image on your card.
Isn't it fun to complain once in a while? Every hobby can't be perfect.....plus, it is so fun to read what you have all posted. Too funny!! I loved Kittie's post about working in a 6" workspace because of all the mess. That is me to a tee.
But I didnt' put everything down, or you would wonder why I am making cards in the first place with such a long list of complaints!!
Stop being inside my head everyone!
LOL
My least faves are:
1. Cleaning and organizing before I can even start stamping
2. Cutting the rubber
3. Cleaning the gunk off my scissors after cutting the rubber.
4. Cleaning up all the stray pieces of paper.
I'm going to go with layout. I agonize over what paper to use and where to place everything. I love watercoloring images, making backgrounds, etc... but when it comes to sticking it all down I get all paranoid. Is it too frilly, bright, not frilly enough? Of course I too hate cleaning.
