I am going to a retired stamp set sale in a little bit. It got me thinking. If you could bring sets back to "life" from the retired lists of old, what would you want back?
I was lucky to get the Scouts at Play set before it retired. It resells on ebay for more than the original price, so it would make sense to bring back a set where there is still a need and demand. There are always new kids joining both boy & girl scouts, and those sets are fun to scrap those memories.
I've notice over the years that SU retires a set and then a few years later, something similar will come out, so there is hope for the new scouting families.

Uh...I would say, probably....Wild Wild West!
lOL!! Ok...This set was before "my time" but I soooooo want it!!
OK, I'm going to be really selective here and say the entire 2003-2004 catalog, please! I started stamping in 2006 so I never had a chance to get most of those stamps and when I looked at the 2003-2004 catalog last week I fell in love! Can't choose just one or two or even a dozen sets -- bring them all back!
Kittie, have to agree with you. I would love to see a new, adorable pet set, not the goofy ones they have been coming out with the last few years.
You're preachin' to the choir here... I *hate* the dog sets SU has had for the last 3 years. I love my dogs and refuse to insult them by using those stamps.

Tall Tales Alpha...I can't seem to find that set anywhere! Ha! Ha!
Another vote for Tall Tales Alpha! I didn't buy it when it was in the mini and have kicked myself ever since!
Oh, and I think the name of the set was Christmas Cardinal. I think it was in the same mini and I really wanted it but didn't buy it. My MIL loves cardinals and I should have bought it.
Cheers,

Reason: Added Christmas Cardinal
Seems like folks are naming the ones they own, love, and use a lot. The ones I wish they'd bring back are the ones I wish I'd gotten--Like it a latte, roses in winter.
Also Cerise paper. It was great for Christmas, darling for Valentines, and now it's GONE! I wish I'd bought a stack a foot tall!

Exactly what she said. These were before I started stamping also and there is soooo many in there that I want.
I have been lucky enough to get a few of them off of the buy/sell forum and ebay though.

I agree with Terrific Tulips and Fresh Fruit! (although there is a really cute fruit set coming out in the Occasions Mini Collection, and it's DIE CUT!)
I'd also like to see shapes and shadows return. I got it right before it retired, then sold it.. wish it was back..
Bundle of Joy would be another, as well as A New Little Someone. I miss that rabbit!
I'm going to vote for Terrific Tulips, also. It makes gorgeous cards with very little effort. I got it after it retired and I would love to be able to demo with it!!!
I want twelve days of christmas. I bought it (paid a fortune!) and last christmas sold it for much less so I could buy a special present for my daughter - then ebay pulled the sellers listing, so I sold my beloved set for nothing! I'm not bitter...

I might *have* the entire 2003-2004 catalog, or at least I did at one time ;) We should see if there's anything you want to play with that I have. Since you live in Chicagoland we must be neighbors at least a little bit.
Cheers,
