How funny! Just last week I thought, I guess I'll have to get Lovely as a Tree. I too had no intention of ever buying that set. The other one I'm considering after seeing the great cards here is Wonderful Wings. I didn't want that one at all. All Wrapped Up is another I decided to buy after seeing the cards. My imagination only goes so far on it's own!
Petal Prints would be the set that I most want to get because os SCS. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get it before the summer mini expired. I'm just hoping that it will be in next years big catalog. I'm dying to see what SCSers come up with for More Petal Prints. I have a feeling that that will be on my Christmas Wish List.
Just Jeans because of our LunarLana and her fabulous samples! I never wanted it until I saw her stuff. Now I love it and use it all the time. It REALLY DOES go with everything!
I definitely bought Loads of Love because of the wonderful samples I saw here at this site. And, I'm having trouble resisting Just Jeans, In the Wild, Lovely as a Tree, and Wonderful Wings for the same reason. I'm afraid to buy the last two as I know they've been around a long time and, as a demo, I try not to buy sets that I think will retire soon. But, I'm finding it harder and harder to fight the temptation....
Here's the real question though.....anyone bought Creepy Kids yet????? Now don't flame me.....but anyone remember the conversations we've had about that set when it first came out? I've seen samples and the card designs are GREAT so don't be offended but I just can't buy that set yet.
Oh Michelle, you crack me up. I thought about that thread too when I saw the samples, but the cards really do look cute.
I would never have considered buying Lovely as a Tree (ditto on fears about retirement), Botanicals, and Lovely Leaves (or Fantastic Foliage). I was only into cutsy sets. I am so turned on by the realistic sets because of SCS. I love how this site forces me to step outside my comfort zone and try different styles.
I also was never interested in the vintage sets. I bought Yultide Montage in an effort to stretch my creativity. Now I'm hooked. I really want the two vintage sets in the new winter mini.

I will never buy that set! They totally creep me out, so definitely no flames here. It's one of those "I don't get it" sets. Hopefully the COTC won't make next years catalog.
Petal Prints, for sure! It was one of those sets that didn't interest me in the least when it came out in the mini. I had absolutely no desire for it. And then the postings started. I held out as long as I could, thinking they'd stop and I'd be able to forget about that set. But they kept coming and coming... you ladies were relentless! I bought it just about the very last day we could order from that mini and now I'm aching to see it make it to the next catalog! I've heard rumors that it will be... I'm so happy! It's one of my very favorite sets.
For me it was Simply Circles. I could not visualize all the cool stuff one could do with that set until I started checking out the samples in the gallery! I also do agree about Lovely as a Tree and Just Jeans - both sets I have recently purchased that I never wanted as the catalog initally came out!
I don't know what the Creepy Kids looks like. Now I'm curious to see them! Please explain!

Whenever I consider ordering a stamp set, I go through the gallery to see what was done with it here - if I don't like anything, I take it back off of my wishlist until I can justify it!
I didn't like Petal Prints at all, and so I didn't order it from the mini. After a while, though, you ladies finally started posting card samples that I wanted to add to my Favorites gallery for CASEing later. Maybe once I have something else to trade, I can offer it the next time someone decides to let their set go!

Definitely IFB... I didn't think I liked it until I joined SCS... you guys made me realize what a beautiful set it is.
I also didn't realize I even owned Petal Prints until I started looking at the samples on here. I decided to buy it. Luckily, just before I placed the order, I spotted it on the shelf... I had ordered it and totally forgotten. That rotten CRS disease!!

Just went and looked up the COTC on page 106 -- still laughing! I remember not being especially fond of that set the first time I saw it (don't really go for the trying to be photorealistic sets), but I didn't think they were creepy. You ladies crack me up!

That's hilarious...Creepy Kids!!! Kim (mamakimberly) and I said the same thing when we first got the new catty! We have something against realistic looking people....
Lovely as a Tree - should arrive next week!
Shapes & Shadows
Simply Circles
I brace myself everytime I look at the gallery because I know I am bound to find a set I don't have, but just HAVE to have. When someone asks me what I want for Christmas - I have started to just say money, so I can buy myself more SU!

That's too funny about the "creepy kids". I saw them in the catalog and thought "ick!". Glad it's not just me. Thank goodness real kids aren't that creepy!

I am so in agreement with the Creepy Kids set. I had thought it was just *me*, hahaha. The thing about those drawings is, they look kinda real, but not really real. They just look ... creepy. Ick.
The other thing is, they're very unlike anything else in the catalog. :-)
MINE IS SIMPLE FLORALS. I REALLY LIKE THE THINGS I HAVE SEEN. I DON'T KNOW WHAT POSSESSED ME TO BUY THIS SET, BECAUSE IT JUST ISN'T MY STYLE, BUT I REALLY LIKE IT.
I'm really a newby and have had only one workshop. But all of you and SCS changed my ideas. I too want lovely as a tree now and Loads of Love. But I chose hostess sets and others ordered based on all of your great ideas. You all make me see the potential in things...you all make stamping fun for me...even though you're not here!! Thanks for all the "vision"
