Default what paper to use to make a book/journal

Hi all.

Happy New Year.

I have a rubicoil that hasn't had much use.

I'd like to make some books with it but haven't found the right paper to use.

I want just white paper.

thicker than printer paper - but not card stock

any suggestions?

thanks!

Bluebear......I would suggest using a 24# linen or laid paper. It has a nice texture to it that be stamped on, hand written or even computer printed on. It's sturdy enough to hold up to usage, but not as thick as card stock not flimsy as printer paper. I use it for lots of things I make with the Bind-it-All.

Patti that sounds like just what I am looking for.

I'm guessing I could get that at Paperzone.

I don't have a nearby Walmart.

Bluebear......I don't have a Paperzone store anywhere near me (I'm on the East coast). I just looked at their website. They don't list #24 paper, but do have linen in Text weight. I think they list it as 70#. If it were me, I would go with that, but certainly don't need the entire package.

Perhaps if you have a speciality paper store near you or a Printer business you could get the paper from them in a more reasonable quantity and also be able to feel/touch the paper first to be sure it's what you like.

I can't purchase paper over the internet. I need to touch and feel all the paper I want to use. I have several places within driving distance of me that I can purchase paper by the sheet or package. Also get to touch and feel it first.

Just thought of something.....If you go into Office Max, Office Depot or even Staples those stores have smaller packages of the linen and laid paper. You want to look in the section where they would have paper used for resumes or fine writing.

Patti
