Default What the heck did I buy???

Hi everyone,

I am hoping someone can help me. Yesterday I bought what I thought was embossing powder. It was on the shelves with the EP so I assumed that it was also ep. I tried it last night but it just melted/evaporated when I heated it - lol! I realize now that it doesn't say ep anywhere on it. One is "Crystal Snow" white ultra fine and the other is "Jewel Glitter" silver ultra fine. Is this just glitter? If so, how can I use it? I have never used glitter on my cards yet. Will it stick to craft ink or versamark or do I need some sort of glue?

TIA!

The two way glue pen works great for glitter. Also, you can add it to your Crystal Effects.

Have fun.

Yep...just glitter!! I have the Crystal Snow. To use it on your cards/scrapbooks....just use a glue pen on the areas that you want to 'sparkle'....spinkle the glitter on and then put the rest back in the bottle. Simple...but effective!! The Crystal Snow really does look like snow. Good luck!

Thank you for your replies. I have to admit that I feel a little silly having tried to emboss the stuff. I was going to return it, but then I thought, "when have I ever returned craft supplies?!?!?" I will go and get the glue you have suggested instead and glitter up my cards.

Thanks!

Don't feel too bad.
The very same thing happened to me a few years ago.
I got all excited about the new EP colors and I did try to emboss it.
I felt pretty dopey, but that's how we learn!!!!

Default I did the same thing too!!!

In Michaels, they have the smaller jars of glitter beneath the Embossing powders in a rack. I thought they were just smaller jars!! Same thing, I am holding my heat gun to it and nothing happened!! Then I finally read the container and it didn't say embossing on it!! LOL!! :(

Default glitter / embossing powder

You can also mix it in with embossing powders or Crystal Effects ...

You can also adhere it by using heat and stick embossing powder.
