K we have all heard the rumor confirmed that SU is coming to Australia. Well that in itself is fantastic, and to possibly think that those of us down under could become 'demos' for SU is even more exciting.
BUT before I get ahead of myself.....I have to ask the question, what EXACTLY does a demo do?? Can you be a demo to reap the benefits, but not do anything other than for yourself?? Or as a demo do you have to do stuff for SU???
You can be a hobby demo... which means you can do nothing but buy stuff with your 20% discount (you must buy or sell $300 every three months though!)
Or you can sell su usually consists of parties (like tupperwear) you give a demostration and have everyone make something! You can also host classes or events where people come to your home and for a fee make somethings usually a few cards, some tags or something fun for a fee usually $10-$25
There's lots of options as to how you run your business. The main requirement is to meet a quarterly minimum (not sure what that might be in Australia). Beyond that you can really do as much or as a little as you like. Parties, classes, clubs, nothing...whatever.
The beauty of being a demo for SU! is that beyond the quarterly sales minimums, the commitment level is completely up to you! Also, you get lots of training materials to help you get started as well as access to all the wonderful resources SU! offers its demonstrators!
This news was confirmed in an announcement at this week's Leadership conference in Memphis, so it's not a rumor anymore! SU! is coming to your corner of the world!

Hey Jami, are you stalking me or something? This is the second thread in a row where I have posted only to see a response from you directly above mine that appeared at the same time!

uh Rachel I think that means you're stalking me!
Join. The US is saturated with demos and it is much harder to make a go of it when there is a lot of competition!! Your opportunities to turn SU into a real business in Australia are unlimited -- you won't have much competition at first. Basically, you buy a starter kit, which is $199 US -- don't know what the Aussie equivalent will be. It contains a bunch of stamps, papers, inks, materials to get you started as a demo. Start stamping and inviting folks over and show them how to stamp. Or, send them cards with notes about how they can learn to do this too. Get a SU website and send it to your friends. Some won't be interested but eventually, more and more will and then you "recruit" -- get your customers to also sign up so you can get a % of their sales. The rules for your country will differ. I'd go for it if I had a strong interest in stamping and making some $$.
One note: uh, it is an addiction, so be careful!

As a demonstrator you make money from your sales, but you also can make money from your downline's sales. Since the country is just now opening up for SU, you'd be on the ground floor. I'd sign up right away and get out there & RECRUIT, RECRUIT, RECRUIT!
